What cheeses me off

WCMO is Pharmacists who can’t get a prescription right. Filled a script for Prodeine (paracetamol and codeine). They came out with a different box and I asked is that the same as Prodeine. Yes yes was the answer. Checked the box as I was walking to the checkout and it was Comfarol Forte containing 30mg of Codeine whereas Prodeine has 9.6mg of Codeine. This was for my 85 year old mum with cardiac and pulmonary issues and stage 3 kidney failure. The Pharmacist’s comment was “oh good catch” 😡
WCMO is when the 'generic brand' is described as 'the same' when it is not.

My mother is coeliac. Was prescribed a particular medication. I went to fill her script. Pharmacist says that 'name brand isn't available, so I've filled it with the generic'. Whilst the active ingredients were identical, the generic contained wheat whereas the name brand didn't.

I noticed the 'Contains Gluten' after paying for it but before I left the pharmac_. Pharmacist wouldn't accept it back since 'I could have tampered with the medication'. Pharmacist wouldn't 'unissue' or 'reissue' the script. Mum obviously couldn't have it, so she had to go back to the doctor to get another script issued.

I always refuse generic substitution as while active ingredients might be the same you have no idea what fillers and other nasties might be added. As someone who is allergic to certain medications, I'm never willing to gamble if you don't have the branded product I will buy elsewhere.

That is absolutely poor. If it is the wrong medicine they should take it back especially as you had not left the pharmac_.

The TGA requires manufacturers to declare their medicines contain gluten if the gluten content is > 20ppm

So a medicine sold in Australia that says " contains gluten", it means that the gluten content is > 20ppm and is not recommended for Coeliacs

A product that does not mention "contains gluten" or "does not contain gluten" likely will have gluten content of < 20ppm but can be used by Coeliacs (Coeliac Australia considers that <20ppm is suitable for Coeliacs)

A product that says "No gluten" or "does not contain gluten" will have zero gluten.

Report the pharmacist.

What people wear is none of anyone's business unless it's regarded by law as indecent.
Sorry but it is my business especially when I have a 6 year old in tow. I'm trying to teach her decency and modesty like any parent should be teaching their kids.

Oh, and I'll stare and stare all I like and ain't anything anyone can do to stop me.

Life goes both ways. You want to behave like a clown in public then I can too.

What cheeses me off , is a person that has differing views says it is acceptable because they say so . So you are telling your impressionable six year old that respecting someone else's decision is irrelevant if that doesn't agree with your morality? So she learns that unless she bows to a random persons view she isn't of value? Also that you can do inappropriate things "stare and stare" but see nothing wrong with it ??
Btw I am a few years older than you so don't blame your age

I stare and stare to annoy.

We're all entitled to an opinion. We're all entitled to believe what we want and I mean this in the nicest possible way, I do not have to respect their desire to dress like trash. I don't have have to accept it either. Just barely tolerate it and don't make a fuss.

So that means telling my daughter the kids of today are wrong and she should not be forced to accept.

This is becoming a huge issue in society today. It's all over YouTube. It's all over on the Youtube shorts that I watch. Just because someone believes what they are doing is right doesn't mean that everyone has to play along with them.

I'm not using my age as an excuse. I can think for myself. The day I'm forced to be part of the Borg is the day I'm getting out of this simulation. Fight for free thought and free speech.

Why is their attire relevant to you ?
Keeping on thread this truly cheeses me off. That something has absolutely zero impact on you , you condem. You can have a discussion with your daughter in private about how you believe showing skin is inappropriate. As she grows up she will form her own opinion .
So you are telling your child that your attire gives you self worth ? Do you remember what trashy clothes were around in the 1970s? And look you still grew up sanctimonious
Also don't watch YouTube if that is so abhorrent about the attire that young girls wear

Yes yes admin :) at least I said it cheeses me off

I'm confused as to why some posters condemn someone for condemning others and labels someone sanctimonious whilst telling them what is right and wrong for their daughter. Must be showing my age.

My apologies if that is how it comes across
Thanks :) I have requested my posts to be deleted as inappropriate for a light hearted thread

Why do mods and admin keep putting up with these personal rants by some challenged individuals. What’s it got to do with travel?

No need to delete your posts. I'm not taking them the wrong way. I enjoy discussion.

I said someone dressing like trash cheeses me off. They might be the nicest people in the world but show very little respect for themselves for something that should remain private and they won't get any respect from me.

And yes I do understand what they are doing is not illegal. It may not even be immoral. Why does it bother me? We're openly sexualising everything. It's wrong that a 16 year old girl with developed breasts is showing them in public with just a low cut bra or letting them dangle in a see through tshirt with no bra.

Why can't we speak up? Why do we always have to support them?

I thought I'd already stopped them but then they just appear again.

Unfortunately it’s either random, or based on an algorithm which may or may not have been given good info … eg. if there are a few people in your area using dating apps, you could be presented those ads as a result. The people running the site have control over which advertising company they’re using, but it’s the advertising companies that’re collecting the money from (and being paid by the) companies being advertised.
