What cheeses me off

Because maybe you'd cancelled before the system caught up or not within the cancellation schedule? In any case Two days isn't enough time to expect things involving a direct debit to cancel on time. I pay such ongoing payments by PayPal and cancel the 'subscription ' through them then advise the vendor. PayPal stops it immediately.
Very poor IT then. It is a compliance issue if you take payments from a customer that has cancelled their policy.

The programming in the payment update each night is very simple.

Is customer active? No? Exit. Yes? Take payment.

So I also have a TPG monthly internet account for daughter. The Belong account was temporary as she ran out of data in September and I stuffed up. New month starts 26th but TPG takes money on the 19th. Why are you taking money 1 week early? That's our rules.

I would like to cancel this service and keep the number but I want to keep the service as close as possible to the 26th before transporting number to another provider. TPG do not let me remove credit card. So now have to put a stop payment or update credit card to overlimit credit card.

They blatantly make it difficult to try and get money from you.

I can't agree. Their system has to recognise the cancellation and register it, contact the bank, the bank then has to process, find and cancel the debit. Just not enough time.

Up to you. The status on my customer is instantaneous. I gave you the programming above. Very simple.

It’s usually a limitation of the bank’s legacy systems cut off time and direct debit file processing sequence, not the merchant’s provisioning systems.

Oh @Pushka phone providers and banks don't need your support.

Looks like I'm going to waste a day trying to solve this issue.
It's absolutely nothing to do with supporting Banks. They are loathsome. But it's about working with and understanding the way things work. Which you say you do but you've missed half of the transaction.

That I have to give 30 days notice to cancel a month to month service? No sorry, and I don't care what's in the fine print. I cancelled within 2 days of month expiry date.

Note as soon as I mentioned I'm documenting our chat to take to ombudsman I've received a good will refund.

Don't let anyone take you for a fool regardless of what others think about you.

I've been happily using Citi Online for Readycredit account for many years without issue until tonight.

Went to login and they would not accept my password. I didn't have wrong password but not allowed to login. Ok reset password but they want card number. I don't have the card. I have never needed card. I have the username and account number but borh are useless. It's in SYD at my parents in a pile of letters somewhere.

I really hate being forced to change my password. I really hate not being able to re-use my password. I can set the same pin over and over but not password. Stupid. I really wanted to pay a bill and transfer some money. Now need to try and find card or request a new card. Stupid.

Messages left from a landline number which no one ever answers and with no voice mail.

Yesterday I missed a call I had been waiting for as I was transiting a black spot at the time they called. It was from a landline and even though I called back within 15 minutes, it just rings out. Tried at least 20 times yesterday between 9am and 5pm) and same again today no answer.

Just unprofessional, if you operate a business you should either have people to answer the phone or at least an answering machine. Hate landlines, at least if it was from a mobile I could send an SMS and know if they read it.

It's likely just a spam call. Did you do a reverse check on it?

It is not a spam/scam call, the business and the number is legitimate. I have spoken with them previously, but all seem to be MIA since the missed call yesterday morning.

ETA - Sent an email earlier and just got a response saying my contact went home ill yesterday, still out of office and will come back to me on Monday. At least I can head out to lunch now (in the blackspot) and not fear missing the call back.

WCMO is for 4 blocks which cover my local supermarket, favourite cafe, hairdressers and PO Box there is a mobile blackspot if you are with Optus or Vodafone. The coverage was excellent until the tower on the pub on the corner was removed about 6 months ago because the pub wants to add a couple of floors on top. Optus and Vodafone have failed to negotiate with any other buildings in the same block to relocate the tower (or even deploy a street level COW - Cell on Wheels). Without fail after getting no calls, the moment I enter the blackspot everyone needs to call me.

WCMO (only a little bit) is legitimate callers (tradies, businesses etc) who you have a working relation with, who call your mobile and you don't have their number in your phone. And then you might miss their call and then for some reason they seem unable to leave a voice mail saying - Hi its Joe from ABC Pty Ltd and I'm calling about XYZ. Please call me back on 0412345678 to discuss. Thanks.

If you aren't a scammer, please leave a message and I'll call you back.
