What cheeses me off

Maybe just report it to the Police. Likely can do it online. That should cover anything and won't alert insurance company.
Correct me if I'm wrong but we would have needed to exchange details? I'm sure I've committed some sort of offence by not exchanging details so may just leave this one be and hope nothing eventuates.

Thinking out loud if she did report to either police or insurance what would she report? No witnesses unless she makes up witnesses. No damage unless she makes up damage and as there's no damage on my car either will be hard to prove anything.

A car park in Melrose Scotland - 50p to park or download the app - I had no change and you can't download the app unless your iphone region is UK - FFS. Some nice person ended up giving me 50p - the smallest I had was 10 pounds

At Avebury henge last year, similar situation. I was looking puzzled at the ticket machine when some lovely guy gave me his parking docket to put on my windscreen as he was leaving.

Then at an Eliz Line station in outer London, absolutely had to park there, and soon. No coin or card option, app only, so I had to open up Telstra roaming ($10), download app, pay and catch the train. That was an expensive one.

On a similar theme, cheesed off, are the parking machines in Hobart. Everyone cheesed off!! Small, low contrast screens. Ambiguous brief instructions on said hard to read screen. Press 'max time' to get the full 2 or 3 hours? Nope - gotta press it twice. I've helped lots of people who are just flummoxed by the things. On the other hand, the app for these is brilliant (but most people don't realise this). Can extend time (up to max) via phone if you need it, and stop parking when you arrive back early.

My point above John is that people do make up lies to obtain advantage, just as the woman did with my mum's friend when she slipped up his left side when he was making a left turn. Sounds like you can probably let it slide this time. People, are no damn good.

While some fossil car owners might say #WGivesAS, EVs have to contend with a multitude of apps in order the charge at a public paid charger. While there is an RFID option, there is often no option to tap with a CC or pay with cash and the RFID is sent out in the mail. Apps are a necessity but geolocation restrictions make it almost impossible for visitors. And sometimes these chargers are located inside a building where there might not be an adequate mobile signal - in which case an app is useless.

Of course people lie.

When my daughter was born I was really busy going back and forth to Thailand. Mum and dad went to Baby Bunting to buy a baby cocoon to carry little one around. In the car park they had an accident with a young pregnant woman. No damage to my car apart from some paint where she hit our car. She basically lied and NRMA tried to extort $6000 from me because my dad reversed and T-boned her moving car. I refuse to pay so went my insurer.

My insurer was on my side and we kept fighting. Eventually NRMA released the photos of her car. There were at least 2 different, possibly 3, accident damage on her car (big 4wd). There was one accident damage that was a scrape that was consistent to our car. The little tart was stressed and in a hurry to park that she did not see mum and dad parking and she scraped her car against our car. Not dads fault. No reversing T-Bone. Entirely her fault.

My insurer agreed and NRMA gave up. As it turns out NRMA had fixed her car and tried to chase us for the money. I'm not sure they investigated her claim as they would have seen multiple damage from different accidents or they did see but didn't care and tried to bully us. She was heavily pregnant but she was committing fraud and if I didn't stand my ground we would have paid. Hope she got punished.

it’s currently 8° outside in Scotland and it is over 22° in my bedroom with no heating on and I can’t open the windows because they are dormer windows and it’s persisting down with rain so I have a fan on in my bedroom SIGH 🤦‍♀️😬

I feel your pain discomfort. Heat and lack of air flow send me over the precipice.

Here's one some of you will defend until you're black and blue in face.

Wife in hospital with severe UTI/pyelonephritis. Blood pressure in low 80's. Is on constant saline drip but doctor has advised to drink water too to get blood pressure back up.

Wife thirsty at 4:30am and presses call bell and asks for water. Nurse arrives and says that's not my job and for wife to wait until 6:30am when staff arrive so they can give her water. FFS. The arrogance is unbelievable.

There were 2 nurses that behaved this way. The other I saw on 2 different days. I took the jug to the nurse's station and asked where to get water. She dismissed me and told me she'll bring wife jug of water. After an hour no water. I went back and this time another nurse was concerned and immediately went to get water. The first nurse came out and apologised that she forgot. Not an isolated incident. She did same to wife twice.

This is what happens when you get to the bottom of the barrel. Nursing is not for either of these 2. Maybe cleaning would suit them best. I will provide feedback but the problem is no one listens.

The weather looks nice today (down here)....... for most of it, but WCMO is that is always rains on bank holiday weekends in the UK!

WCMO is huge price increases and cough interfaces for managing subscriptions. Disney + going up by $40 a year; so I want to downgrade plan (like I did with Netflix to avoid their price rise) and there is only a cancel option, no change plan option on google play.

My standing preference is to always subscribe direct with provider never via a 3rd party like google, amazon, isp etc so cant recall how it ended up being a google play subscription.

Anyway on the plus side I complained direct to Disney via their chat; and they severed my accounts connection to Google Play, comped me free subscription until 1 July and now I can choose the lower price plan again.

WCMO is the shows I want to watch are all on different subscription services !

- Shogun is on Disney +
- The Brothers Sun is on Netflix
- Star Trek Picard is on Paramount+ (I think)

Even if I could afford more than one service, I don't have time to watch them all !

Then it doesn’t matter that they are all on different services!

Why not take 1 for 1-2 months then switch to another and so on? Eventually the catalog gets replenished by the time you get back to the first one. Play their game.

People who pick up after their pooch then drop the bag into my bin. What makes me even more cheesed off is they live down the hill so why not simply take it home and put it in their own bin?

Danny Katz of The Age (SMH) this week had this very question — but the offender left it there. 🤬🤬

He suggests having a sprinkler for the nature strip operated remotely to saturate them both 😂😂
