If it cheers you up, muggins here sat and spent about ten seconds trying to work out what WCMO means...WCMO is having to claim missing miles. WCMO is also when you have 2 BP's and the first leg credits but the 2nd doesn't. Same carrier, same program, same booking class. So why does 1 credit, but not the other?
UA - rubbish to deal with.
AA - rubbish to deal with.
TK - sometimes good, sometimes rubbish. When rubbish, it just goes into a black hole.
I'm chasing up on them as it's worth about 30k miles, but boy what a pain. Customer service, useless, they close the case as resolve and just direct you back to the mileage claim page ....... which doesn't work for the partner airline, which was made clear in the ticket raised.
Don't feel dim. Took me 3 weeks. I even asked but no-one offered a solution. If it cheers you up, muggins here sat and spent about ten seconds trying to work out what WCMO means...

Here is your chance to get it off your chest - flight / travel related or whatever - those who remember Hey Hey It's Saturday will get the drift pronto - others will soon catch on.

First What Cheeses Me Off are those brain dead clowns who cannot stand back a meter from any luggage belt so that everyone can see exactly which bags are approaching - how hard is it?
Sadly (?), I did ...Did not understand a word but good luck!
Well, that's one way to REACT ...I'm going to go drink some red and rethink my life.
Well, live chat is working today at least. But I'm 1 1/4 hours in and still no progress. The guy tried to then fob me off saying a new case was raised and I'll receive an email notification. No worries, I'll stay connected until I receive it. 30 minutes, nothing. So ....... it hasn't been raised, has it? Also, why not update the existing case ID I provided, instead of raising a new one? Funnily enough, that new case would have all the same information as the original, which I copy/pasted into the live chat in the first place. Massively frustrating. It shouldn't be this hard. The thing that's even more stupid, is the first leg of the connecting flights posted without issue.WCMO ... United Airlines.
Submitted the following support ticket (as live chat never seems to be available):
My flight has not been credited to my account. It was a P fare code booking on ADD-LGW ET718 on 30 April 2024. I have the boarding pass also, which I have scanned and attached. I tried to submit a missing mileage claim however even when selecting the partner option, it would not allow me to enter my Ethiopian flight.

I'll add to that with...... people who don't know how to merge!People who frantically change lanes meters before the two lanes zip merge...
It’s not that difficult. We changed just with a bit of work to the new API. Don’t hold on to old methods.GAH! GAAAAAAAH! GAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
Apologies, but I need to vent.
I've been working on a fresh integration with PayPal for a new platform I'm developing.
And the swines have only gone and deprecated the SDKs that - once upon a time - were pretty handy in putting a flow together.
Now, it's all just RESTful API doco. And that's freaking incomplete as all hell. When I have to rely on JetBrains A.I. Assist 10x more than I do on a published set of doco, coupled with having to carve and then recarve models to map to what they freaking *need*, not what they ask for... I have better things to do with my day(S!) than trying to second guess a bunch of muppets who can't even do the decent and use Swagger (or OpenAPI or whatever they're calling it this week) to generate meaningful API documentation for their users.
But, of course, they still maintain a Javascript SDK for the cowboys in the wild west... Of course they do. No doubt to go with this week's latest fad framework that doesn't bloody work properly at any kind of scale (that was a whole different world of pain trying to switch palettes out quickly on a reactive page with a new tool I wanted to introduce for users... Thank you Vue 3... Thank you very flipping much).
Time to crack open some bottles of that flipping Martin's that was going dirt cheap a couple of months ago.
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
I'm going to go drink some red and rethink my life.
I wasn't sure whether to click augh or agree. She'll get virtually anything that comes in a bar.
I'll try not to comment on that, not just a Thai thing. In similar news, just went and got my IDP (1968) that covers Thailand. Took 2 minutes and cost £5.50, so worth doing in case they do decide they want to pull me over and check. There will be no bribes available to them from me!My wife is warning me to be ultra careful when we are in Pattaya.
The police are as corrupt as hell. Someone we know (Thai lady) had a motorcycle stolen. Went to the police station to report the stolen bike. They asked for money to investigate.
A different time the same person had drugs planted on her motorcycle. She went for a beach run at Jomtien and when she returned police were there. The deal was 1,000,000 baht to avoid jail. Boyfriend had to pay.
I usually walk around with a huge backpack that I take to golf where I keep some beers and anything I buy before returning to hotel. I need to find a smaller bag (like a make handbag) to take around with me at nights and that would be difficult for someone to plant drugs as it will be on me and in front of me at all times.
Sad when the people paid to protect are the criminals.

It's been a thing for centuries. Pretty much everywhere in the world. We just hear about it more these days.My wife is warning me to be ultra careful when we are in Pattaya.

And stairs in general. Stop at the top. I keep on walking up and out.Escalators. People who walk across the top of the escalator as you are stepping off.
And they wonder why there is an energy crisis. Turn the effing central heating downWCMO .. last flight of the day cancelled, when you've done a day trip somewhere. Have no clothes for tomorrow and of course the airline won't cover it. TI won't either as it wasn't an overnight stay.
Hotel I've been given is steaming hot and windows barely crack open.
