If you leave your order on and it is eventually filled you should not be charged any more. With all the crazy movements and losses on the stock exchange I shouldn't be cheesed off at such a trivial matter thing, but when an order for shares gets only partially fulfilled (as in 1/500th of the order you placed) you end up paying brokerage that is 50% of the purchase amount for said shares. You win some, you lose some but the house always wins ....
I know right, but a trap for “good for day” orders partially filled right on close…If you leave your order on and it is eventually filled you should not be charged any more.
Same with me for ages - even bought a new phone! @prozacWCMO. GOOGLE!!!!!!!!!! Recently bought a new android phone. Now I am getting messages my gmail account is full and I won't be able to send or receive emails, back up photos etc etc. 2 weeks ago it said 79% full, now it says 100% full.
I had a look at storage and all the photos on my phone are in Google...can't see how to turn this off. I have delated pages and pages of emails and emptied the bin too. Still it says I am 99% full. I've tried deleting the photos with minimal success. It seems I can only delete photos over 5MB. I've spent an hour today deleting stuff with minimal success. It seems this is all about making me pay for stopage. Apart from killing off my google access how do I fix this?

Thank you @anat0l . I worked out there was synching and I think I have turned it off. Trying to get rid of the images stored is being problematic. I'll have another look at it later today. What kind of Android phone did you purchase?
If all your photos are "in Google", then it seems whatever the app is on your phone for handling photos or Gallery (could be Google Photos) is syncing to your Google account. Obviously, this uses up your Google Cloud space, which is a few gigabytes on the free account. For the typical person who keeps whole collections and almost never deletes a photo off their phone, maintaining cloud sync with a free account isn't ideal.
Even if you remove photos from your phone, you typically need to check and it's likely you also need to remove it from Google online (e.g. via Drive or whatever), because removing the local copy on your phone doesn't remove it from a synced version in the cloud (or Google Drive).
Sounds like what you need to do, short of purchasing a subscription to increase your Google space online, is:
Keep in mind that one photo occupies the same space as a lot of emails, unless those emails are stuffed with attachments. If you capture and save (and sync) videos, those are even more space-consuming. Probably explains why it seems your email cleaning efforts were rather futile.
- Disable syncing (or backing up) photos to your Google Drive online from the settings on your phone
- Go online to your Google Drive and delete the backed up / synced copies of your photos (being careful to delete only the photos which are definitely on your device, i.e. you have a copy of already) - safest thing to do if unsure / lots of photos is download a copy of all photos online to a computer, then delete the online copies
The thing that is worth being cheesed off about is that all of the big ones - Google, Microsoft and Apple - all turn on auto-sync on setting up all new devices. For those that are either upgrading or don't know about this and stick to free accounts with modest allowances, this can take them by surprise.
I had the same issue, which popped up after an Android update. I have OneDrive set to backup my photos and videos, simply because I get 1TB of storage with my annual Microsoft Office subscription, rather than use the more limited Google offering. What kind of Android phone did you purchase?

Yes, bit of a nuisance @Flashback especially when you plead not to be sent carpWhatsApp also saves it backup to Google Drive, so check your settings there too. If it's also saving videos it can be sizeable.
