What cheeses me off

*1).OT: what cheeses me off is that Telstra is (from 2024) getting rid of its 3G network.
*2).OT: what also cheeses me off is the fake Auspost sms, we can't deliver your package, and the sender is a generic 04xx phone number.
*3).OT: what cheeses me off is that "private numbers" are so easy for people, esp scammers to use.

First What Cheeses Me Off are those brain dead clowns who cannot stand back a meter from any luggage belt so that everyone can see exactly which bags are approaching - how hard is it?
I travel a lot developing counties, this is a crowd favourite… A close second is taking every opportunity to loiter in doors or narrow spaces to block everyone. “Civilians” at Sydney airport love doing this at the entry to departures and the arrivals cattle run..

What cheeses me off...

The non stop whine / complaint threads on AFF nowadays. I feel that this has gone from a Frequent Flyer forum where we had some really interesting contributors (now sadly have most pulled back / left) sharing their knowledge and actual flying exeriences to people just whinging and moaning at every available opportunity about something.

In my travels I can almost live with the people not standing back. I just barge in and shove them out of the way.
Yeah, I treat myself to a bit of entertainment, and swing my bag around as I take it off the belt. Oops, sorry! A bit like when exiting a train and there is someone right in front of the door trying to get on first - a drop of the shoulder and oops, sorry!

1.Have you ever had the feeling like a rockstar, of when just passing after your IPC has been collected off you and you go to pass those frosted doors, and to go into the public zone, from the int arrivals secure zone, esp at SYD, but also AKL, feel like a rockstar with so many people must milling around before the white bar in that octagon, that does not allow anyone close to it.
What is it with people who go to airports, en masses to welcome their relos back from overseas.
Parents seem to bring their kids to airports for the fun factor of it, never happened in my day.
Edit:
2.People who jangle the coins in their pockets at all times, I wonder to myself, why, why do they have to do that, clinking of coins... eek.

It certainly happened in the 60s, 70s at SYD on any day we returned.

Speaking as someone who has been (and still is :P ) a kid , I can say that going to airport is an amazing thing for a kid to do. The whole experience of flights taking off, loud noise of the engines, people wearing different uniforms, the FA's and the way they are impeccably dressed, the obligatory candy or soft toy from the over-priced airport shop, relos bringing back chocolates from their flight, looking expectantly & eagerly at the escalator to see if you can spot your relos as they come down, racing your siblings to see who gets the first hug etc., the whole narrative of how great would it be to fly ... all of these and some more are the very fantasy kids love (I certainly loved them & I still do) :)

Having family and friends carry on because I'm off overseas again on Business Class fares and I explain about CC churning and they say I'm going to do that and then never do it but keep whinging.

They also spend money on useless cr@p and complain they can't afford to travel

Having to restrain myself when posters on here will argue with their own shadow and doesn't matter what someone else's experience is if there's is different then the other poster is just WRONG because it didn't happen that way for them.

Also the inability to use so many sayings from Effin birds because they are so good but would probably get me banned for a while

What cheeses me off is airlines cancelling flights but not refunding money and leaving it up to passengers to chase up the refund.

This is not a good trait of humanity even if it's a business involved.

People standing next to the carousel. I still remember the time before we had carousels, you had to retrieve your luggage directly off the cart/trolley which was driven direct to the baggage claim area from the plane
