What cheeses me off

When someone (not sure if it was a customer or a supplier or a random passerby) vandalizes a book by writing unsavory words (sends shudders thru the spine reading the word) in the first page. This book in question was inscribed with a bad word and put back on the shelf. Someone else bought the book and returned it because of the inscription... :(

Peoplpe who talk on their phones with their speaker on.....sheeeesh. I do not want to hear your two way conversation in the Dr surgery - uncouth, selfish, lacking in any self awareness. Anyway, thats my rant :)
Yeah WHAT is the thing with putting the ‘phone on speaker & then screaming into it?

And why is it primarily Gen-X Asians that need to do this?

Easily fixed, just say something embarrassing to them very loudly: e.g. is this the line for people who tested positive?

ATMs inside malls that cannot be accessed after mall closing time.

Has to be one of the dumbest ideas ever but bank execs are probably patting themselves on the back.

Don’t use self checkout - line up and give a kid a job
I use woolies Scan and Go when Im doing small volume shops. But only when the queues are long.
The problem is they are always long - this includes the 15 items and under, regular and self checkouts.

I try not to san and put item into trolley - its scan and put in to bag. The whole idea is to scan and go, not scan, repack into bag and go.
Ive not tried doing a whole troley. I suspect there may be a "wait for attendant"

The Amazon tech is so much better (no scan, just go). Amazon Go and Amazon Fresh: How the 'Just walk out' tech works

The few times I've tried this at Woollies I've always had to get it checked by staff when leaving - I don't bother anymore. I never had a problem using Amazon Go.

I’ve never had a wait at Woolies for scan and go and never been checked

I just bought a card at the local newsagent - cost 6.99 - he doesn't scan it and rings it up at 7.00 😠

Slop:
A2FE7A82-CE1E-408A-8D55-5FA9BDA0CF86.jpegi.e. airlines that serve up slop at the international J lounge in their second busiest port, and then think that it’s the hardware that’s the problem and thus commit to a multi million dollar lounge refurbishment. When really they could start by offering more than just a dreadful tomato and salmon pasta sauce (without any pasta) as the only hot food option.

BCCI.

They (yes they - not the ground staff) prepare three rank spinning pitches via ‘selective watering’ and then because they got beaten in the third test, serve up a complete road for the last test. Done to ensure a draw and absolutely no chance their world test championship standing could go backwards with another loss.

Appoint kiwis to prepare all test cricket pitches, they seem to have got it right for a five day contest!
