What cheeses me off

Did the specific product ship form Amazon or direct from supplier?

Maybe I've been lucky but everything I've ever ordered from Amazon has been in amazon packaging either a box (often much larger than needed) or padded envelope.

My own WCMO amazon complaint is I ordered a continuous water mister for hair styling and what arrived was just a regular water spray bottle. But given the price (2 pack for $6.99 free delivery) and that they work as a regular water sprayer I will keep for cleaning purposes and just leave a bad review.

Amazon. Received a parcel on the weekend. It was a box of the magnetic tiles for a Christmas present. It had NO packaging. The large address label was simply stuck on the box - now left with a sticky residue and two other bright orange labels. I've read a couple of reviews and this has happened before.

Now Amazon has banned people from posting reviews about this issue. I can return it for free but my gripe now is the banning of reviews about this problem. I don't have time to take it to parcel drop off and wait for refund and get another one. I've had Amazon issues before doing that where they say they haven't received the product back so no refund.

This is the message when you try write a review.

Sorry, we are unable to accept reviews for this product. This product has limitations on submitting reviews. There can be a number of reasons for this, including unusual reviewing activity.

Needless to say I've accelerated the chat function and am waiting for response. I want the item so will try a light touch of goo remover.
We had the same with the (exxy) gift we've bought my mum for Christmas. I was so upset when it arrived with amazon tape and labels all over the box. You'd think a pricey electronic would be packed into at least a satchel to make it less obvious to porch pirates etc. I'll have to spend some time trying to get them off, I put it aside as I just didnt want to deal with it.

Not sure if Amazon AU has the same option, but in the UK you can opt for different packaging.

It’s disgraceful. Damn stick labels.

It came direct from manufacturer but through Amazon fulfilment. Not sure what that all means.

I decided to send it back on principle. On the ‘returns advice ‘ it said to package it. I didn’t. I simply stuck a note on the box stating I was sending it back in original packaging. 😂

This is the error message when adjusting the review they wouldn’t post.

It means pick-up and delivery by amazon driver but not packaged in/by Amazon warehouse. Hence not in amazon packaging.

If the same product is available from multiple sellers at same (or very similar price) I usually pick the one that ships form Amazon warehouse.

One of the nicest packaging items came from Versace - I bought a belt online from them. Apart from the fact it arrived from Milan within week, the outer box was buff coloured on the outside with address label, black inside, In that box was another black and gold box with ribbon and inside that a black fabric drawstring back with the belt.
I must admit I don't think I have ever bought anything off Amazon.
WCMO is the sticky price labels on items - I can never get them off smoothly :(

Our best packaging came when we bought a Sassafras hall table from a craftsman in Deloraine, Tasmania and had it shipped home. One of our good friends is a wood carver and we asked him if he wanted the box it came in to use for his timber work. He came and saw it and said all he was going to do with it was hinges on one side so it could be opened easily as it was far too well made to take apart.
