What cheeses me off

But surely the whole point of lotto is that it's not an investment, it's a dream. And the action of buying a ticket is, for many people, integral to the dream
A bit analagous to being in a restaurant and ordering via a QR code. For me, the whole waiter taking your order thing, is part of the theatre of the dining experience. It might be the same food but I enjoy it less when summoned electronically

Woohoo, 70 mil next Tuesday and it's mine, all mine.......... :)

p.s., must remember to but a ticket. I usually buy Tuesday and Thursday tickets, I know it's a long, very long shot, very very long shot, but I like to think that lotto and red wine are my only vices these days.......

Actually only wanting to fly in J might be considered one as well. :)

ETA - cause is a car fire, so some Inconsiderate person fails to maintain their cars and then causes traffic chaos for all
Well better start leaving home a lot earlier . Electric cars are slowly taking over - the inner city greens and teals will make sure of it . You know what electric cars are like. 🤣
You"d think QF lounge would have better info re their own flights.
They do, and it's the oldest trick in the airline book.

Hey, I bought my ticket before you. Get in line pls🤣

WCMO, sitting on Mona Vale Rd today, 90kmh dual carriageway, behind a police car that would not move over despite the signs every 500m advising same. I thought about flashing my lights but in the end I changed into the left lane and passed him. Very poor form, he looked like someone in a senior position. Sadly not setting a good example.

Yeah that would have won you a demerit fine and expiation. Maybe it was a trap. You didn't take it.

I allowed 1hr for what should be a 12min journey (and that was to arrive 1 hour before a domestic departure). I always have a generous buffer, as no issue sitting in the lounge if early. I don't think it's reasonable to allow more than 4 times the usual commute.

What’s starting to CMO is the carry on about how hot it is in Brisbane and we should all take emergency measures. Are all the radio commentators from Adelaide or something? It’s BNE in January. It’s hot. And actually not even that hot and humidity is only medium. Get over it.

Edit: I remember a supplementary maths exam at UQ in January in the 70’s when it was 110F 43C and in non air conditioned lecture room.

I recall advertising maven Russell Howcroft saying that "bad" news attracts 6 times the number of "eyes" than "good" news.
