A bit analagous to being in a restaurant and ordering via a QR code. For me, the whole waiter taking your order thing, is part of the theatre of the dining experience. It might be the same food but I enjoy it less when summoned electronically

Well better start leaving home a lot earlier .

I allowed 1hr for what should be a 12min journey (and that was to arrive 1 hour before a domestic departure). I always have a generous buffer, as no issue sitting in the lounge if early. I don't think it's reasonable to allow more than 4 times the usual commute.

What’s starting to CMO is the carry on about how hot it is in Brisbane and we should all take emergency measures. Are all the radio commentators from Adelaide or something? It’s BNE in January. It’s hot. And actually not even that hot and humidity is only medium. Get over it.

I joined our company's tipping comp(s) again last year. Both AFL and NRL. Put tips in every week and followed ladder every week.

I was up the top in both comps. I just missed out in the AFL tipping comp but I won the NRL tipping comp. I sent Footytips email to our Admin on 13/Sep/24 mentioning that I had won but not sure if there was any prize money. P&C usually put on $150 1st, $100 2nd and $50 3rd. Heard nothing back so forgot about it.

Someone from P&C had been in touch with me this week asking if I could prove I won the NRL. Go into Footytips and I'm not in either comp. I joined them again and could see both ladders but I'm not there anywhere.

Have had back and forth with the new Admin. Apparently old admin left not long after tipping comp started and no one has logged in for at least 6 months which is debateable. I've sent countless emails to ESPN who are totally disinterested asking me to contact Admin but Admin doesn't know and has also contacted ESPN. I've sent email to person who finished 2nd to me but they're claiming first place as they're now 1st. They offered to split prizemoney but that's not the right solution so I declined and thanked them.

On my Footytips profile I can see that I am part of @serfty's AFF comps and I won the 2024 NRL. My company's 2023 tipping competitions are listed but 2024 tipping competitions have disappeared.

I know this is meant to be fun but I won this comp and now everyone is calling me a liar. ESPN even mentioned that I may have been looking at different competition. Um no. I won and the person currently 1st was 2nd. I'm not imagining it.

Glitch in the software, fraud or glitch in the simulation. Unbelievable.

I assume you are referring to the main ESPN online comp? I am individually in that comp & it continued through to the end of the grand final. I received a email on the 7th Oct advising of results. Maybe you were leading at the end of the last round but not after the Grand Final?

WCMO today is departure board in lounge says flight is on time and to go to gate, announcement made stating the same.

Get to gate and they are announcing delayed arrival of inbound aircraft, still being cleaned and a wait for catering truck to materialise.

You"d think QF lounge would have better info re their own flights.

Trust me… VA is 10 times worse! The gate calls the lounge when boarding starts, which is then passed on to lounge guests.

Last year there was a run for about a month where the gate would call the lounge a good ten minutes before they even started pre-boarding, Complete disrespect for pax.
