What cheeses me off

Ok. NAB. I had to call up recently as they were charging the wrong interest rate on an investment loan. It's fully offset so in reality it's no drama but here's the kicker. When I checked later they said 'we've reduced the interest rate but not the monthly amount you have to pay'. If it wasn't offset and we pay more anyway than required, I'd be contacting the ombudsman.

Qatar Airways. Why offer a caviar service in J and make a big hoohar about it, if on the very small subset of flights they offer it, only 20-30% of them actually end up getting it. It just ends up with people being more pissed off.

Modern aircraft configurations... that still force use of a headphone adapter. Q Suites, but won't work with a single 3.5mm jack. When I flew coughpy old BA Club World (yes, ying yang, not club suites) even that allowed me to use my headphones without the adaptor. I haven't needed it in so long I don't pack it anymore. Gonna be a long flight to PER now ... the onboard headphones suck. 4 pairs till I had one that worked and the NC is cough.

Yep. My experiences on QR have been superlative through to "Ho hum" why didn't I fly with xx who were same/better than this. QF is regularly labelled with "consistently inconsistent". My experiences say it equally applies to QR.

Japan Shinkansen booking. Hmm, damned if I follow the text instructions and damned if I don't. Both result in me starting the queue again.
(Sorry had to do full picture as thumbnail resulted in illegible text)

And their vaping friends
Perhaps you’re focussed on the vapers with devices that emit huge clouds?

Personally I find almost all vapers and devices to be discreet, emitting little visible cloud. It’s odourless and far more preferable to any emissions from smoking actual cigarettes.

Flavoured ones are not odourless, don't think much of hookas, either. Loathe cigars as well.

Luuuuuurv cigars, though last one I smoked was November 2015.
Auto writers comment about the danger of vaps as they leave a residue on all surfaces of any vehicle in which they are smoked. The point was they coat the windscreen thereby reducing visibility and exascerbating light glare.

Vapes are not odourless, and they do create emissions. Repulsive habit as is smoking cigarettes and cigars. Cant believe there are still ignorant people fool enough to tke up / continue such an unhealthy socially unacceptable habit.

I know. But so do cars :( Ever stood as a pedestrian at a busy intersection on a hot, still, summer’s day? It’s choking :(

Yes, but unfortunately at the moment petrol/diesel fueled engines are a necessity. Granted other sorts of powered vehicles are appearing and new developments happening, but things aren't going to change that quickly.

Well did not take NAB long to let me know today I get 0.25% less on my investment savings🤯 from now. Of course its before end of the month so a week makes a big difference to the interest on 28/2
Ditto for Mr Flyfrequently @MARTINE
Fortunately I popped into the local NAB Friday last week as my i-saver had dropped to 2%, gave me 5% for the next 12 months on the spot - "guaranteed" she said...... we'll see I guess.

Cars are a genuine need for some activities requiring the use of motorised vehicles (granted often just a convenience for some) however smoking and vaping are just unnecessary unhealthy (for both those who do it and those around them) indulgent preferences.

YMMV
