What did someone do in the lounge that would make you not want to be on the same plane or near them on the plane?

For me, it’s this woman here in MEL international J lounge coughing every two minutes. Don’t want to be sick at the start of the holidays.

And she's drinking Coke too... that's going to make the cough worse...

Oh mam, now on CX and a man is constantly coughing. What’s the etiquette for offering someone a mask or a Strepsils?

But does th

But does that mean whatever they expel won’t make me sick?
Yeah, pretty much correct.
There are a bunch of inflammatory conditions, and even post infective cough that are not going to be contagious.
A lot of the people hacking up their lungs will be less contagious that someone who took some Panadol for their fever that morning, sitting quietly in the corner

Maybe that gives me a little comfort as now there are two gentlemen coughing on the plane...

Probably the two worst things I’ve seen have been at F lounges.
QF MEL F lounge a bloke had a fair old pick of his nose and proceeded to then wipe the contents on the seat in full view without even batting an eyelid.
BA F lounge at LHR T5 this year a lady sneezed directly in the buffet and didn’t even try covering her nose or mouth. I didn’t return to that buffet afterwards 🤣

A woman with her shoes off and one leg tucked under her bum was casually playing with her toes and then using the same fingers to pick at food and nuts in front of her. So disgusting!!

Having flown in and out of India a fair bit lately, there is a constant lack of respect when it comes to noise pollution. Movies or music on the phone, naturally no headphones, just cranking up the volume as loud as they can and watching/listening while not caring about anyone around them. And this is inside the international lounges, so well educated gentlemen (its a 100% male phenomena). Only place I don't get it is Bombay and Cochin hence those are my fly in and fly out port these days...

This, in my limited experience, is a very Indian phenomena (I am happy to be corrected here) and it is driving me nuts.
A few weeks ago, one Indian gentleman was escorted out of the business class lounge in Abu Dhabi and the lounge attendants said its a too frequent complaint.

Some people have a chronic cough. Doesn’t mean they’re sick.
Likely we will be travelling this week like that too. Cough started over two weeks ago. All other symptoms gone but the after effects linger and known to do so by Doctors. So pleased I cancelled @RooFlyer - it has knocked both of us for six. Still.

For me, nasty personal habits. And seeing them walk out of the bathroom without washing their hands. If someone touches something on the buffet with their hands I put it on their plate. With tongs.

We are an empathetic bunch, aren't we?
I think we are except for OP 😂

Not in a lounge, sorry.
But I was on a flight once and a whole mob of people were writing on one of the safety cards with a sharpie. Sign it or something. They seemed to know each other, like 15 of them.
Was completely disgusting. Would not want to be of a plane with a people who have no respect for safety.

Yep, I forget how to swallow at least once a week.
