Well after a 4 day holiday sojourn to Sydney, my watch has arrived back in Melbourne again overnight. Australia Post are hopeful they can organise delivery of it by end of week, no guarantees though, "they are busy". It's 4 weeks today they have had it.

Another update, despite being told this morning I will get it "by the end of the week but no guarantees", simultaneously I just received a text and an email from Australia Post.

The text says:
your parcel is waiting for you in your parcel locker, you have 48 hours to pick it up.

The email says:
your parcel is awaiting collection, you have 10 business days to pick it up and remember to bring photo ID with you to collect it

Doh! its a 24/7 unattended parcel locker?

Just look on it as a version of a treasure hunt. It's keeping us all guessing! Good old AP

We need another emoticon - sigh but with a hug

So you all deserve a follow-up.

Indeed the text from AP was correct, and I collected the envelope without needing to show the locker my drivers licence 😅. Excited to get it home and open it up to find that receiving it 4 weeks to the day they sent it - it s the wrong one!!! 🤬 Now in negotiations with the supplier who is rather unresponsive.

For an ironical finish, last Saturday I ordered a new mouse online for my laptop from China. I got a warning notice (seeing I am a tightwad) & I had not selected the express option, that their standard delivery is 20 working days, but they can't guarantee due to covid. 😟 Estimated delivery sometime week commencing Sept 21st. 😒

A courier has just been to the door 😲 - the mouse is here and installed 🤗

Five days all up go to whoa from China, yet AP took four weeks from 15km away.
