Really interesting to see what people do :).

I am am very much retired and loving every minute of it!

Prior to that - started as an IT programmer in 1975 and pretty much continued until 1986 (by which time I had moved into Database via communications). Decided to start a family and become a full time Mum, but somehow the little IT recruitment company I started to give me a bit of interest grew..... I continued to work from home, to be with the kids but sort of ran an office and staff as well. Became much easier once email and scanning became the norm. I have to admit recruitment is excruciatingly boring and I wasn't sorry to give up the business and retire.

Public Servant/Social Worker in a niche area of mental health.
Travel as much as I can to maintain my own sanity.

PS Am quite new to AFF but am loving it

While there aren't many (if any) active military personnel posting here the principles are the same:

...... overuse of social media could create personal risks for military personnel and their families, compromise their passwords or expose them to blackmail, Brigadiers Mick Ryan and Marcus Thompson said.

Australian soldiers social media could be inadvertently helping the enemy

Possibly, but do such people really believe everything they read on-line, especially in largely anonymous forums?

If they do, they need to know that I have a bridge for sale.

I.e.

I sell bicycle horns (Sqeeze me - I'll give you a hoot!) and wash cars to supplement income.

...how much are you asking for that bridge? Is it a big grey one slightly damaged (in the 1960s) over a river that sounds like Perwent !

Sorry, I offloaded that one last week; did a deal with some-one called Arfur. Current run-out model is steel, sort of coat-hanger shaped and with great cash-flow.

I was a mechanical engineer/public servant working for the Department of Defence. I retired back in 2010. I notice that nearly all my former colleagues of that vintage spend a month or two on overseas trips or cruises most years - just like me.

Renato

For anyone buying or selling bridges, I can provide water for a modest fee...

Of course, for said bridge, you'll need a management system (read Tolls)

So, I'am willing to provide my services at a reasonable rate for a long term contract. Circa 250 years, at which point, you may buy back the contract, all & sundry. Obviously indexed for inflation. And minus incidental and establishment costs, accounting for depreciation and taxes.

If interested, my number is 1-800-takin-d-micki.
