Can't call myself a noob anymore :D - I've taken 2 flights ;)

Big week for me this week. Four flights, three lounges, a red eye and the new A330. I'll be a long way off knowing what I'm doing though!

Have to agree with you there. I'm just glad I joined Mal on his flight home on Thursday AM (I was on the next flight), so good to be travelling with someone who knows what he is going & where he is going ;) :D

I have managed to use a complimentary upgrade on my MEL-PER (Via SYD with A330 on the SYD-PER leg) and also on my red eye from PER-SYD. :) I am very happy! Really looking forward to the 330.

Maybe I have just had some bad experiences dealing with QF, but I have to say my interaction with the Velocity Plat staff via telephone have been exceptional and I have just spent about 20 mins with a delightful lady in the MEL lounge changing my flights around this week. I'm sure I was a pain, but she was an absolute model of what customer service should be. Sorted everything out with a big smile.

If I said it was fun to deal with DJ it would probably be taken the wrong way, but it is certainly enjoyable dealing with positive employees who are keen to help.
