MiD-NSW pacific highway “resort”. Restaurant closed due to Covid. Free room service. Wasn’t expecting a lot.

but turned our quite ok, especially for the price.

WOW ! thats some great food cough !! I am surprised Robert Molines is still cooking - he must be a fair age now - when we lived in the Hunter Valley (1975- 1992) his restaurant in Cessnock was the best one !!

Bistro Molines was head and shoulders above everything else. Brilliant setting just like a French country bistro. Very good food and generous servings, great staff.

You certainly hit some great HV venues. Agree that Bistro Molines is the pick of them - the setting alone is stunning.

Back to our favourite Nguyen brothers. Mrsdrron had her usual lemongrass beef with vermicelli salad. I had a banh mi with pork cracking.

Last night at my sons house we had a Steamboat meal. One side of the pot had a fish stock and the other was "hot and spicy". We didn't get anywhere near to finishing it all.

Have to agree @drron and @mrs.dr.ron, looks delicious and I'll bet it tasted as well. Japanese is one of my favourites. Right, as I head to Noosa Parklands for clients, I'm going to find this restaurant.
