What I ate today - the food thread

Meal on Thursday DRW - SIN SQ252.
Didn't take the menu pictures so unsure of the right names. But this was a red from Rioja which I enjoyed that day and again the following day on SQ12.


And I always go for their garlic bread.


Mrsdrron had a non spicy chicken dish and I had a lovely spicy duck dish.




And a cheesecake for dessert. Better than usual for SQ.


And the lovely FA asked if I would also like a cheese plate. who can turn down a lovely Singapore girl?

SQ 12 Friday. Always nice to start with Satays.


Mrsdrron had a yuzu chicken salad then a salmon dish.






I had the Japanese meal. Nice but I prefer JAL's.




We both had the same dessert.

Tonight we ate in at the CP Sapporo because it was cold, windy and wet. Didn't really sound good looking at their menu but was quite surprising.
I had what was called a Snack plate which came with a free drink. I had an Asahi black. This is what I got.


Plus a salad and a vegetable soup which was quite nice.


And my beer.


Mrsdrron had a hamburg steak as they call them with a mushroom sauce which came with a salad, a plate of rice and a glass of wine.




She liked it. She also had a second glass of wine and the bill was 4080 yen or just under $41 which was great value.

Crispy duck. (a.k.a over cooked and dry). Top marks for presentation though.

A very nice dinner at a very good Izakaya just around the corner from our hotel. Hanabi Kitasanjo Street Store. Only picked it because it said that they had an English menu.
We each got a small bowl of edamame and then
started with a sashimi platter for 2 with extra salmon.


Then we each had a skewer of chicken and of beef.




Then fried chicken wings which were quite large but beautiful.


Then I had spicy bean sprouts. Very spicy and like kimchi.


Finally BBQ young corn and tempura corn. Really nice.




Mrsdrron had a carafe of white wine and I a large fraught beer. The whole lot came to 9000 yen - $90.
