What I ate today - the food thread

Barchetta @ North Cottesloe Beach, WA. @JohnM should know this one. Working lunch but it was hard not to stare out at this vista as an old surf lifesaver.

Indeed, @QF WP :). Those people on the beach are at about the half way point of one of my running tracks (Swanbourne-Cottesloe groyne and back).

At 6pm as I poured the wine I asked,
Q: “what’s for dinner tonight?”
A: “FIIK”
Q: “we had that last week didn’t we?”
A: “yes, it was quite good I thought?”
R: “yes it was. ok! Let’s have FIIK tonight!”

How was the Greywacke Pinot Gris? I was reading about it recently as the guy behind the label spent 20 years as the winemaker at Cloudy Bay I believe.

Excellent. Love the Pinot, SVs and Chardonnay from Greywacke so was keen to try it. Highly recommended, very clean, mineralogy with good fruit but still acidic and on the drying side. Excellent food wine.
