I managed to accumulate 3.2 million at one stage before cashing in 1.52 million for a mix of 4 x JASA's and Classic J & F to do my bucket list Ashes in England trip

I like to keep enough for a return trip to Asia at short notice, and beyond that I'm usually of the "earn and burn" mentality. More so of late, due to uncertainty over the outlook for J/FASAs.

I am a few thousand short of 1,000,000 QFF points.

Still haven't received QFF points from 4 MH flights and todays flight SYD-BNE will also get me closer.

Most I had at one stage was around 950k, now around 450k, but had a blast spending those 500k points thats for sure.

Well, zero, since the bank doesn't manage my QFF balance ;)

But if you meant the peak amount I've had in my QFF account at a certain time, that would be just over 200k, which was promptly burned the next day on a zone 10 F Classic Award. Very humbling :-|

How long did it take you to accumulate 3.2m points ?
That's gonna be hard to beat

Getting close to 900k and will probably reach 1 million by the end of the year before using some points for the holiday season.

I've reached ~350k twice during my 4yrs as a member of QFF at which time I've burned them on JASA's

About 600K at the moment which is high for me. :)

Ideally keep about 250K or so for a short notice JASA anywhere, return

Worried about keeping many more given potential for them to devalue :(

About 500,000 is the most I'll accumulate before burning down to about 250K.

I'm still scarred by the Ansett experience (the airline, not the member here :) ) Not that I think QFF is going under any time soon, but I'm certainly wary of strong 'enhancements' which would significantly devalue the points.

Can't beat that. However, if the rules allowed family pooling - around 2M. Over the years we have been busy earning & burning >5m. Have drained all accounts down to zero or almost zero on three occasions.

Have blown most of them on classic F or J awards for family trips to Asia.....lost count - but I think we've re-deemed 35+ return long haul flights. Only about 6 of these have been on QF metal.

We're in accumulation mode - post X-mas hols we'll collectively have >1.5m.

I try not to keep too much in my account now. I was burned by Ansett dying in 2001. The highest I've gotten to at any one point is low 300k.

I have had a bit over 400k in my account twice now (+ 120k with Mrs Aus ATC)- and then made good use of them for trips to Europe. Down to about 60k at the moment, with a return JASA to LHR to post later in the year - and about 120k with Velocity. Next target is at least 300k in each program.
