I thought it was paracetamol that was bad for the kidneys?
No, it's the liver if taken in overdose but no real effect on the kidneys.

LOL. How did you explain 5 KGs of pseudoephedrine?Yep. Found that out when I bought way too much of the stuff in France and got a please explain in Sydney.

It was APC powders but the P stood for Phenacetin not paracetamol.I thought it was paracetamol that was bad for the kidneys?
I thought it was alcohol that was bad for the liver?
Not specifically. Too much paracetamol cactuses the liver.I thought it was paracetamol that was bad for the kidneys?
Really, really, really bad hay fever. Or you've got friends who throw quite boring parties.LOL. How did you explain 5 KGs of pseudoephedrine?
Well yeah but let's not think about that one...I thought it was alcohol that was bad for the liver?
How much is too much? Not specifically. Too much paracetamol cactuses the liver.

As they should be... No one should be able to buy NSAIDs without a few brief questions from a pharmacist/pharmacist assistant.
Many kidney physicians owe their children's private education to those NSAIDs...*
*that was a joke RooFlyer.
Being a cardiac patient and take some pretty dangerous medications (for persons that aren't meant to take them), I always carry a letter from my doctor, even in Australia. My recent visit to NZ required me to show security/immigration the letter from my Dr saying that I required all this medication as well as the valium & Ibuprofen+codeine. When travelling to Asian countries I also add what most other have in their kit.
It pains me to have the shots to visit some countries: i.e. yellow fever, malaria, typhoid etc.
regards
Be cautious with sudafed since pseudoephedrine is illegal to bring through customs in a number of countries. As are combinations with codeine.
Indeed. Absolutely not permitted into Japan for example. Even a single sudafed (the real stuff) tablet can land you in trouble there.
I'd be careful with OTC codeine combinations in countries such as Singapore and the UAE.
That's interesting. Other countries I was aware of, but not Japan. But would they really give a tourist 'trouble' if a packet was found when entering the country? Surely it would be more of a 'tut tut, not allowed, sir', with it confiscated?
If you left a packet by the bathroom basin, would the maid report it?
