What QF Flight numbers do not allow lounge access?

Is the specific issue in the other thread because the LAX J lounge is a OW lounge (so usual QF flight codes don’t apply).

But the F Lounge is a “QANTAS” lounge and should allow access on a QF code?

Having said that, I had to talk my way into the F lounge flying FJ (QF code).

Yes and there is nothing in the T&C that says QF flights numbers must be operated by QF,EK,OW,JQ, MU

So a WS operated QF flight number should (on paper) allow L access

Hence this thread question.

I don't have page 56 open on the rule book but I would be in total shock if anyone on QF tickets could not access a QANTAS lounge, if they are eligible

I read the LAX rules as being a flight with a QF flight number. No mention of having to be QF metal. So whether flying F or a Qantas WP on QF, EK or WS, if the flight number is QFxx_, you’re in!

Slightly off topic but I was pleasantly surprised when let into Air France J lounge flying JAL Y as a WP. Got all the perks including priority and F tags.

Flying on a OW marketed AND operated flight you should expect most of that as a OWE. But the lounge experience can vary wildly.

Where were you flying out of?

In another thread it has been suggested that QF codeshares on WS flights do not allow lounge access

What QF Flight numbers do not allow QF lounge access?
The member who was refused entry at LAX Qantas international Business Lounge was trying to employ QP membership.

They should have been allowed access.

Going back to the poster on the other thread, although flying QF, I believe she later said the ticket was WS. Therefore no access with QP.

Similar question so not going to start another thread.

If I have QF lounge access via a General lounge pass, I understand that the linked flight needs to be a QF flight or at least a codeshare with a QF flight number.

Later this year, I'll be flying out of SYD on EK. Booking made direct with Emirates so no QF flight number. I assume that precludes me from using the Qantas lounge. That's cool.
But does EK have an arrangement with QF that would get me into a lounge? Any lounge? I'll be in a PE seat (and Mrs Danster too).

Reference point: I have accessed, without questions being asked, the LAX OW J lounge using QP membership travelling on QF rewards ticket outbound on JAL metal to Tokyo

You will not have entry to the Qantas Club. If you have Gold or Platinum status, you will be able to use the QF J Lounge or EK lounge. Not on PE with no status though.

This (my bolding in your quote) is highly unusual as you would have been booked on a JL flight number rather than QF codeshare (I don't know if QF even codeshare on JL metal LAX-TYO)

If you actually had Qantas Club, rather than OWS/OWE, you shouldn't have been permitted access under the rules. Bank error in your favour.
