Club lounge is wonderful but give me a beautiful full length, crisp white bath robe, not too heavy, medium weight and I am happy. A refreshing shower after a big day out nothing better, who wants to get dressed again? Simple

The most perfect bathrobe was to be had in the Intercontinental Club rooms in Singapore. Not crisp, just so soft and luxurious.

I get what you say about bath robes Meggs, my problem is that they never have them to fit a tall big guy, they seem to think men who wear bath robes are all 4'11 and are 55 kg it's one of my great peeves. When I try to put them on its reminiscent of wearing a hospital gown, there is no dignity and nothing left to the imagination.

Just to bring this thread down to the mundane. An iron and ironing board are indispensible to me. I've had a bad run in the last few weeks with turning up late at night and needing to iron a shirt for the next morning. Sad I know with all this talk of upgrades and executive lounges ;)

I like the nice soft slippers, when I can find them. My problem is they aren't for people with tiny size 5 feet like me.

Per_Travels that's why I try to stay in hotels that offer free pressing of two garments per stay :-)

Free wifi, although I've really only found this a drama in Aus.

Japanese toilet absolutely!

I proper king bed rather than a Zip king.

Some kind of way to make coffee and make it well in room, on the road in Aus we have taken our Moka pot out before!

Somewhere proper to sit, not just a bed!

Yeah - and I'm an avid user of hotel laundry facilities as a result of my hand luggage only travels. The problem is that, as happened to me a couple of weeks ago in the middle of China, when you arrive after midnight and need to be at a meeting early next morning getting the pressing service can be a bit tricky
