I agree with you. There is alot of beauty to Perth worth discovering!

Shame about the people.

From someone whose cousin in perth, had a solely quality to a potential partner of the partner owning a commondore ute with roll bars.

Actually I am not a huge fan of Singapore. Too sterile and not a lot to do...

Was in Kabul last month and gotta say that would have to now be at the top of my list, couldn't find any redeeming features (other than the view from 3000ft as you depart) followed by Dubai.

Beijing and Hanoi would be my least favourite cities in the world.

Beijing because it just seemed entirely charmless, and the generic brown mush that constitutes northern Chinese food is awful.

I never quite worked out why I disliked Hanoi so much, but I couldn't wait to get out of there. Surprising as I loved the rest of Vietnam especially HCMC.

Penang Malaysia.. Total dump and hole

Lagos, Nigeria... Absolute filth, I got pretty depressed there.. The humidity, poverty, smell, mosquitos, always being hassled for things, the danger... Not a nice place :-|

Awww we're not all bad. But I must admit, a visitor experience in WA can be a bit ordinary at a high cost. Infrastructure and demand economics at work here!

As for least favorite cities...New Orleans was a huge disappointment (pre hurricane Katrina) and I just can't find anything charming about LAX

Having just tripped around WA with my +1 I'm shocked at how much the cost of things have risen:!:

I will no longer complain about the cost of things in London... a lot has changed since I moved over.

Hello Flashware,
If you stop converting back into English pounds you will find the prices quite a bit easier to handle.
Actually prices in Australia are crushing for anyone who comes from Europe or America.
Are you in Perth now?
I have just finished my 2 days of work.

Hmm, not so sure. It's more than I remember for a lot of things before I moved! ;)

The U.K. is cheap for lots of things vs here. I challenged my U.K. sis to go shopping in Coles and comment on the prices. She hasnt been over here for several Years and doubt she even shopped then. Will be interesting to hear her feedback.
And yes, prices have gone up considerably even since you've been gone. Wa tax also adds its toll.
