Your option of bringing back Thai baht back could be the way to go but don't we need to declare to Thai customs if we leave the country with more than 10,000 baht?

You can laugh about that one but others who have overstayed their visa by days/weeks are no longer welcome back in LOS.Pfft, I was fined 100 baht for overstaying my visa once (by a couple of hours!). It has never stopped me from getting back into the country!

I don't want a black mark against my name anywhere I travel and abide by their laws most times.
Your offence may not have been serious enough.It is interesting, as they stamped my passport with the overstay. My next entry stamp was actually next to that!
Looks as though it might drop below parity before jumping back up again.
Still have a few Marriott reservations yet to be charged to me card, oh well at least I have some GOLD ETFs as some leverage against the currency drop.
