Proof that EK is indeed blocking QFF awards.

2 seats in J on the same date. Available with Skywards miles. Only Y for QFF.

Same on many other dates. F awards remain non existent via both programs in August (including when EK413/414 was loaded into inventory).

Wow - $1800ish on top of the points.

I've been looking at SYD-DXB also on Skywards and QFF - i have found that the awards only appear on QFF when Skywards has availability for J @ 96k miles. So it seems 96k is their "saver level" and that's what is shown to partners. Although F seems to be blocked, but Emirates seems to release only 1 F seat even to their own members (but still hard to find).

Still no reward seats in any class have been released for December and January. So much for all the promises of extra reward seats this year.

This year they changed most routes to only have 1 F award across the entire network.

I’m guessing that a fair proportion of the speculative points bookings made by those keeping their options open will be getting cancelled now that countries are opening up to tourists again. Probably a few gems will pop up here and there.

Bagged two of these myself for May 2022. And a return later in the month. Nearly fell off my chair to get a QF9 reward in J!!
The taxes look bargainesque compared to Emirates. Bronze QF.
The taxes coming back might be less bargainesque!

I just jumped on a J reward booking MEL>LHR>SYD>MEL for mid-May 2022.
Taxes/Fines/Addons/Fees = $1367.83 (1 pax).

+ $6.00 card fee

That's quite normal for fares ex LON airports. Except for 'Other carrier charges', that's just rubbish.
Agree, I was just providing data as a general FYI.
The carrier is QF, so not sure who the "Other Carrier" is.. I assume they just mean 'additional' Carrier Charges.

Got a connection into/thru LHR on way home so I don't have to pay Boris's ridiculous surcharge. Cost me extra points but who isn't sitting on squilions of them since the Covdemic???

Congrats. Which route? Previously QR were known to only release 1 J seat to and from Australian ports to QFF.

With the A388 back on SYD from 1 June there is more capacity.

Seeing at least 2 X Biz awards on QR from most AU origins Sep/Oct.
Trying to construct an OWA.. seems to be some good options..might be a long night.

How do you see these QR reward seats? I can’t search Doha to any port in Aus via QF site.
