ok, how many Velocity Points?

Unchanged. Altitude points convert 2:1 to FF points. So 1.5ppd on Black Amex and 0.625ppd on Black MC. (Same QF earns on Earth Black).

I'll probably be sticking with the Black. I occassionally think of giving them the flick, but they've really done no wrong by me. Have claimed on the insurance multiple times which was completely painless.

weird they're not launching with visa signature or infinite at the same time - seems only Citi issues them at all in Australia.

What's the best option for bailing out in regard to shifting Altitude Reward points? I was hoping that VA would run another bonus points promotion on transfers, which they have done in March in previous years, but nothing eventuated this year. My annual fee is coming up so I need to bail, meaning I have 90 days (i.e. until June) to transfer my points...

I've received the letter and it hinted at getting an invitation so will wait and see. I'm considering going black......

Nope. It's annoying that Westpac have gone about it in this way, but it's still brilliant albeit $100pa dearer.

Amazed to see that WBC have an Altitude Business Card which allows upt to 20K pts per month, 20K signon and $0 annual fee first year, that would certainly be one option to swap to!

If I'm reading this correctly, the comparison is with Black, which has 3pt/$ (AE) and 1.25/$ (MC) earn rates.
