The desperate shortage of willing workers may well be short lived - we have daily freight pick-up with FEDEX (ex TNT) - a month ago were desperately recruiting new drivers as they just could not keep up to demand - fast forward a month and they are now rationalizing routes - ie not enough freight moving to warrant existing movements - so staff being sent on holidays etc.
We have daily pick-up with Aust Post - a month ago all vans overflowing each day and most drivers working extra shifts when ever they want - fast forward a month and vans almost empty each day - ask the drivers how is it? Standard answer is everybody is quiet no business anywhere
Clearly RBA wanted to put brakes on economy well it has certainly achieved that from where we sit.
