The NYC aircraft is an A-12, not a SR-71.There's an SR-71 on the main deck of the USS Intrepid in New York (along with a Concorde and Space Shuttle) though none of them ever flew off an aircraft carrier. I never realised they built so many SR71s to be able to have so many in museums.
