When ? Was it the big storm in 2007 that created general chaos ?
Close. The great winter of 2010. Heathrow and CDG and many other UK and european airports closed for over 24 hrs.

We spent 28 hrs in CDG. People were sleeping on every surface. Photo taken 4.34am 20/12/2010.

Took us 58 hrs from BNE to Koln!

One of Lewes’s football team’s rivals is called Eastbourne Borough, ( a nearby town ), but it’s a brave publican who puts that banner on a Lewes Hotel

I think Borough is one of the best bonfire teams

It's to protect the pub from the Guy Fawkes night hooligans! :) On Guy Fawkles night, all the parking meters are removed or shrouded and letter boxes covered, windows boarded up, otherwise people but large bungers in them and blow thew up!
