So, whose house ?
...and, like the earlier challenge, the connection with Australia ?
Front and side views.

It looks like somewhere near Montenegro, Croatia or the Dolomites... But I have no idea.

Is the connection Mrs Burley Griffin worked for him?
Edit: Mr B G too it seems
Correct.
In fact Walter BG met Marion Mahony when they both worked in the studio here.
I assume knowing the Aus connection you know whose house it was.

So, another "whose house was this".
More, who built this venetian style palazzo mainly to house her collection, and also lived there.
This person is less well known, so maybe start with ... where ?

I am going for Peggy Guggenheim.
Interesting guess, and both came from New York.
Peggy Guggenheim acquired a real Venetian palazzo for her collection and home, about 50 years after the one pictured was conceived.

This is what I love about Europe. 😀
…my local council in inner city Melb would have completely covered the sculpture with high vis striped tape, surrounded it with that police crime scene tape and a big warning sign as a trip hazard - then asked you to sign a disclaimer.

if you think I’m exaggerating the current NGV exhibition which is based on art from found objects …. Has a huge sign at the front warning about sharp bits of metal and jagged edges 🤦🏽‍♀️
BYO Tetanys jab😂😂

When I was in Bordeaux and the trams just run through the streets with no barricades for pedestrians - they just assume that you realise the tram isn't going to stop quickly so just stay out of the way
