Which mobile phone do you use?

I have the original Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone, the Google version. Very nice that it isn't bloated with manufacturers OS. Previously had a HTC desire that packed it in one day after coming out of warranty..

Also own a Asus transformer Prime but that isn't a phone. I recently got a 4G Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 but yet to take it out of the packaging!

I like the android environment but don't think it's still as good as the Windows mobile OS was about ten yes ago

iPhone 5, although in reality it is a modified and extended version of my very first iPhone 3 from 2008.
That to me is the beauty of Apple, the seamless transition for an owner between models.

This thread got me thinking back to my trusty Nokia 5110, life was simpler then. No, phones were simpler then, life was just a friggin complicated. Switched from a series of Non smartphone Nokias to an IPhone3 in '08. Left that in the back of a taxi in 2011 and got a 64gb iPhone 4S. Love it because is has all of my music in it as we'll as the apps I need. I now struggle to remember how work worked when you couldn't constantly check email on the run.

My first digital phone was a 6110 (1998). That is amazing it has lasted so long. I had Nokias until about 2-3 years ago when their customer service got flushed down the toilet.

I have had an iPhone 4S since. I had a warranty claim and the phone was swapped over them and there. Before I had even left the store my replacement had everything loaded that was on the broken one.

My first phone was an Ericsson GH337 - world's smallest digital phone in 1995! After that I had a number of Nokia's - 5110, 6210, 6120, N70, E63, E71 (I suspect there may have been others, but can't remember them right now!). Switched to iPhone 4S a little over a year ago. Nokia's were great - great signal strength, great battery life, sturdy, but the world has passed them by.

And here it is, still going strong..... my Nokia 6110. Poor thing needs a recharge every second day now, not like when it was new.6110_Copy.jpg

Isn't that a 6210? My 6210 certainly looked exactly like that. I thought the 6110 had a gold coloured metal highlight above the screen and the rest was a darker grey colour.

I miss my old Nokia phones esp the 8 series with the translucent cover. 8xx_ was the series.

White LED!!

You are indeed correct AdMEL, I just took the back off and it is a 6210. Just goes to show how long I have had it.... forgot the model number.

And you'd probably kill for a two day battery life with most smartphones with the standard battery.

My old Nokias used to last a good week, I didn't talk a lot I guess. Lucky to last a day nowadays.

I had a Z800i for 5 years - replaced it only 18 months ago when I could no longer load AFF on it using WAP - I would recharge it once or twice a week (it was on it's second battery).

As the technologies improve (LTE for example), the inclusion of Wi-Fi and rediculously sized screens, battery life won't last much beyond 36 hours - my Galaxy S2 will just do 48 hours on a good day (i.e. not using it).

Wow, I miss my old 5110, what I would give for another, good loud ring and speakers, and never missed a beat, my blackberry gets at best a day of battery life, worst I've had it was dead after a few hours

I might have my old 5110 tucked away at home. Keep an eye out here and I will post if I still have it. It's all yours if you want it.

I've had many mobiles....

Ericsson gh688. 388(?). T68i. T28. T39. Z800(?), c905, P900i.
Nokia 5110.
Samsung s2, s4.
Motorola RAZR (some variant).
Blackberry (some late 2011 variant with slide cover and large screen).
I am sure there are more. That was just a quick brain dump.

Curious as to the display of the four most important information to many Frequent Travellers on different platforms.

Here it is on WP8. I love the elegance of apps on WP. Just wish Qantas and Virgin will take advantage of NFC in WP8 like JAL has on feature phones.
AFF (Mobile Site only :( - would love to see the CMS Provider provide a WP8 app)

I swapped from iPhone 5 to Samsung Galaxy s4-
the best thing is the spare battery and charger - you can charge up a second to keep in your bag rather than having to be constantly plugged in. I also use it to charge a batter in a hotel while im out and about, then come home and just swap them out.
Second excellent thing is the tripit widget on the samsung.
have been very happy since i swapped.
