Not really. I don't usually eat junk food but can overeat when I'm stressed which can happen working in the office. Now working from home and I've reduced calorie intake and walking 1h30m-2h per day.

I'll continue as long as I can as it's so easy to put weight back on again.

Like you, @traceyy, I’d just saved enough points for a major OS trip in J and have ultimately decided to leave them untouched as a gesture of faith / solution to my crippling indecision.

After an initial malaise, I‘ve found it surprisingly easy to switch from planning exotic overseas trips to imagining holidays in my home state. The risk to my more modest dreams is that the current intrastate movement restrictions and national park bans may not be lifted for a long time. But even still, I’m quietly excited about the prospect of spending a week’s leave in the Tasmanian wilderness, rather than using it (as I usually do) going OS. I‘ve been exercising more than ever since social isolation came in, so I may well have the fitness to match. Federation Peak here I come🤞

From my reading of the situation, the Velocity Points is a separate and profitable business c/w Virgin Australia. Could well be sold off, if that occurs or not probably a points devaluation. A matter of sitting tight. Lucky or not I have favored Qantas! I am a HCW and glad we are not living in USA or Europe. The cellar is taking some what of a beating at the moment. Everyone stay safe and well.

They are now one of the creditors to Virgin Australia as they loaned money and also paid cash in advance for all the future reward flight tickets.

I don't know if this helps, but I spoke to a Velocity partner (was chasing up all my orders done pre-VA collapsing).

They are planning to re-open in a few weeks and are stocking up to prepare for a huge inlux of orders, so hopefully those with points trapped can redeem them just in case they are significantly devalued by VA2 owners in the future.

on the former we dont know the total amount of cash Virgin has reserved for paying out points even after the 160M loan to VA was given. For all we know there may have been surplus money in the stash too.

as for future reward tickets, thats only 10M, a drop in the ocean comparatively and its not even on the balance sheet. Because the points for these flights were already redeemed from the members points.
