Re: Who on AFF are the cruise gurus and what are your preferred cruise lines and ship
I'm thinking heart issues again?
The gold medal goes to Puskha.
I was good for 19 months and after a break for the first 6 months we managed 2 trips to Melbourne, 1 to Singapore, Hong Kong and Shenzhen and, of course, the wonderful 27 day cruise from Fremantle to Hong Kong via Australia's East Coast on the Queen Elizabeth. The absolute highlight on the QE was being upgraded to the Princess Grill for the 21 day section from Melbourne to Hong Kong.
My daughter and I are booked to go to Europe in October/November including a cruise from Rome to Dubai. The issues there were that we were going to Egypt and Jordan amongst other ports and the specialist said no way. Flights with QF, QR and BA were all booked; hotel accommodation booked except for 2 days in Rome and the cruise deposit was paid.
I will be putting insureandgo to the test; my premium was over $1000 to cover all pre-existing conditions. So I expect a good outcome.
My husband and I are also booked on a 21 night cruise on the QM2 in March which goes from Hong Kong to Hong Kong to Singapore. If I am good for 6 months then we can go on that cruise. Unfortunately, my husband is not very keen at this stage. He prefers that we book the QM2 from Fremantle to preferably Melbourne.
There is a good 13 day itinerary from Fremantle to Fremantle via Melbourne on the Sun Princess in December but I think that is a little early.
Overall, prognosis is good and we did very well over the last 12 months.
My plan, as usual, is to travel more when I can.
