Why do people still avoid Malaysia Airlines?

MH's total pull-out from continental Europe has been my main reason for avoiding them nowadays. Flight crew have always tended to be friendly, and KUL is an enjoyable airport (albeit with excessive immigration lines). Fleet is getting tired though, and extent of flights from Oz is hardly matching the growth of SQ in particular.

Many still relate MH to the crashes or just bad luck.

As for me - I've just booked an MH ticket flying in October. I still think they are safer than Batik and Lion Air.

They had the Brisbane incident this week as well. From reading it was at least 5 critical failures (2 pre check, 3 rolling checks).

We use MH a fair bit in Asia and have never had an issue with them or their service. Have no hesitation flying with them again and are looking at some HKG-LGK flights in October currently
