2 nice trips.

Brisbane to JFK for a meeting: (also did side trip to SXM for the weekend)

BNE-HKG-NRT-LAX-JFK-NRT-BNE

Coming Back from Skiing at Whistler (and returning to SFO in June):

YVR-PHX-SFO-JFK-LHR-OSL-JFK-HKG-BNE

and in June

BNE-HKG-LHR-OSL-LHR-JFK-SFO

My most recent trip to the states:

Did all of that in a bit over a week of flying VA & DL. Probably gotta go back to LAX, DCA & JFK soon.

as a matter of interest what are you using to make your maps please?

TIA

As blackcat20 said. Although I use OpenFlights.org to export the flight data to GCMap.

For anyone else interested select your trip from the dropdown
[List Flights] [GCMap]

It'll then automatically generate the map for you.

Thanks Milefest - a bit more playing to do

Wow - and I thought my ADL-BNE-DPS-SIN-BKK-SIN-DPS-MEL-ADL was long! I have so much to learn ..... :)

..., why? I know I've been here a while but I still don't get it. As some have said, they are doing an award flight so it's not for the miles and status. Are you going from A - B and routing via X, Y and Z with maybe Q thrown in just happens to work out cheaper?
I would do it for the miles and status if it was cost effective but otherwise I just don't get it.

My longest sequence of travel without stopover - 2006.

I departed DXB on BA ~2am, arrived into MEL approx 10:30pm 2 "days" and 16,800 miles later:

DXB-LHR-LAX-SYD-MEL - not that many segments - just looong ...

Well just this week I booked TPE-HKG-SIN-SYD-MEL as the SIN-SYD flight flight was the only one with J availability from SE Asia into OZ. The rest of it was necessary to get us home to MEL. That's one reason why.

I love flying. Even in economy.

A few years I booked a few awards on Qantas SYD-ADL-ASP-AYQ-PER-BME-KNX-DRW-GOV-CNS-BNE-SYD. Overnight in PER, BME and DRW. The BME-KNX connection flight was cancelled and put on direct to DRW. Had a few drinks with an AFFer from SYD in PER. Go figure.

Flew BDA-JFK-LAX because we wanted to fly the new plane (A320T) from JFK-LAX and it was cheaper to fly in to then out of Bermuda....

I truly am amazed at the stamina and love of flying displayed on this site.
Have to question my fortitude as a return overnight flight from Narita via Cairns was enough for me to swear never again.

This is one I did 18 months ago. Long haul on VA (J), all domestic on AA (well one was a US flight but same same).
That was fun!

A couple of years ago I flew AB PMO-STR-TXL (Y) BA TXL-LHR (J) QF LHR-DXB-MEL (F). The AA miles required was the same as LHR-MEL, so it saved me booking extra flights. It also allowed me to try a couple of airlines, and visit a couple of airports I wouldn't otherwise have.

And your point is? Totally confused - redicularity and complexity is a prerequisite for AFF mship is it not?
