speaking of issues with tassie and QF, my Qantaslink Q400 flight LST-MEL was cancelled on Saturday, I was shafted onto Jetstar too

Wonder what compo you got?

Hmm, well, nothing offered, however I have sent off a complaint. So we shall see. There was next to no assistance given by Qantas, there was nobody at the check-in desk, nothing to tell us to speak to Jetstar. Had to spend 20 minutes on the phone with call centre to find out I had been rebooked on JQ. Not only that but I overheard the Jetstar check-in supervisor telling his staff NOT to go and assist lost looking Qantas passengers. Ridiculous.

Too late for Mr P, but there is a very early JQ flight, MEL to ADL most mornings, touches down in ADL about 6.55am or so.
First one to leave MEL at 6am, or 5.30am equiv time.
I have seen it fly in, and have seen the schedule on the QF website.

No compo offered. It was getting late by the time the bus started moving and trying to get multiple people booked into the Travelodge would have meant a very late night. He wouldn't have eaten dinner as by then he would just want to get some sleep before a very early departure this morning.

No consideration given to the inconvenience of being housed so far the airport given that it's a normal business day yesterday and this week for him.

Aussie_Flyer, your situation is pretty much identical. It was like JQ wanted nothing to do with stranded Q passengers.

I don't know why it's Jetstar's problem and why they should shoulder the blame for the lack of organization at the MEL end - its not as if MEL is a remote port for QF. Responsibility and blame lies with Qantas. Sometimes people look for any reason to find fault with Jetstar.

I don't think anyone is blaming JQ for the SNAFU at MEL. Just the complete lack of interest at HBA in helping QF pax who were rebooked on JQ.

Absolutely. Nothing to do with Jetstar. Everything to do with Qantas.

The apology phone call as promised, didnt happen.

And to top it off status points haven't been applied although they have for a later flight. It's a story that keeps on giving - or taking.
