I thought that I was all set - and then I just discovered that there are no longer QF flight numbers for the EK flights from DXB to CAI - dammit!

I don't need DSC's for this leg - just need normal SC's for a QF flight number on EK metal - DPO-MEL-SYD-SIN (all DSC on QF metal) then QF flight # on EK metal from SIN-DXB-CAI and return all the way WAS going to get me exactly 600 SC's to retain gold - am going to have to fly RJ DXB-AMM-CAI now - dammit

I see. There was not this context to your post above, so it read to me as if you were expecting to be able to get DSC on the flights to/,from Cairo to reach your target.

Sorry about that.

It's going to be an interesting trip - the person coming with me has never travelled outside Australia, and has never even been on a connecting flight before - only air travel experience is MEL-OOL non-stop and return - this will be an eye-opener!

Just popped up in my QFF app after midnight. Make sure to register and select the double status credits option instead of points. As a general rule, it's best to wait until after 11am today to make any new bookings...
