LW sounds like it could mean mini#3 is around the corner? :p
Definitely not :o

What about being really corny & doing one of those love song dedication numbers on the From the Heart channel. You'd need to be reasonably quick as you have to request it 8 weeks prior to the first day of the month you are travelling.

Wonder if any other AFFers have done this yet?
I thought about this on the weekend when flying to/from SYD, but it's too late now. We now have only 7 weeks and 5 days left. Corny, maybe, but what chance have I got getting her to listen to that Channel - not a lot.

But what about for the return flights?

True, we have QF30 x 2 as well as MEL/BNE. Maybe I should do a dedication to my whole family.

Thanks ozbeachbabe. Hope you enjoyed drinks last night - sorry I couldn't make it.

Would be interested in anybody's experiences at any of these properties

The only one I have used (several times) is CP Causeway Bay. Its a very nice, new property with large modern rooms. It was very conveniently located for my work needs, bit maybe not quite as good as some others for overall convenience.

They have a club lounge if you have access via being in a club room. Basic evening drinks and some interesting finger foods there. Club breakfast is in the restaurant, which has a great spread.

Its located reasonably close to Times Square and a few blocks walk from MTR station. The tram runs right past the front. The hotel overlooks Happy Valley race course. There is a supermarket across the road and a very popular sushi bar also across the road.

It has a reasonable gym on the top floor as well as a swimming pool.

Thanks NM. Nice to get a review from someone who has stayed there. It's more than double the cost of most of the other stays (Toulouse run a close 2nd), but as it's the last couple of nights and between 2 First Class flights for the girls, I could hardly have them stay in lesser accom (HI Ex Causeway Bay) :o

Been checking them all on TripAdvisor and been happy with the reviews this far - well into France and still no glaringly bad choices :D

There go all my AA, Hilton & PC points :( [well almost 30K AA & Hilton points left]

Wonder if any other AFFers have done this yet?

There was a thread about this some time back with someone asking if they made it!
Hmm, can't seem to find that thread using the Search function, markis10.

Was looking to see how to do it (guess there might be something on the QF website somewhere?

Been looking at the Toulouse A380 Tour, as somebody from AFF is looking to join me :o.

Has anybody here been on the tour (I know Drewbles just did it) - I'm looking to do the combined A380 & Concorde tours (EUR 18.50 - I think that's a steal).

Certainly has been an excellent way to reduce the wallet opening, I hate to think if I hadn't spent them, how much if would have cost (flights and accom) :o:shock:

Since Drewbles and another AFF member did the Toulouse Airbus tour I have to do it, and it fits perfectly at the end of my trip.

Leave ORY on Air France to TLS(with status of course) then do the tour and then catch the evening flight on BA to LHR to catch my flight home the next morning on the Qantas A380.

Perhaps we start a TLS Airbus Tour thread here and on FT? As it's a Friday, might be a little tough for some to get there. But 2 is enough of a start

I'll book x 2 this afternoon. You're good for the cash :D

We did some sort of tour of Airbus at TLS during Star Mega Do 1. We were split into groups where some of us did a more 'technical' tour, whereas others of us went to Airbus' cabin mockups (I did this one). It wasn't as exciting as it could be, but it was nice to be on Airbus turf, albeit no photos allowed (probably the same for you).

The experience we had is probably different to a tour which you are describing. And I'd say that the price you're quoting is not bad at all for a tour, especially if that includes a Concorde tour (our session at TLS did not involve Concorde).

I believe they conduct tours in both French & English so just make sure you get on the latter if you're not fluent in French.

No English tours on that day (a bit poor :o) and no combined tour, so we're doing the French version of the A380 only. Hopefully we'll pick up something in English (books, etc) that will tell us everything we need to know - or get a nice French lass as a guide :D

I suggest Google Translate...

Let's see what Babel Fish makes of it-
You could need to include/understand more basic French so d' to have a useful visit. If not, you can just find yourselves with the glance fixes the characteristics at the time of the round. You do not know if it would be the value of your 18,50 euros. But, which you think is the best…
