The wines are probably past their best, and very savoury as you'd expect, but they make a good conversation piece for the price.

Same experience for me for 2013 and 2010

@olympicwiz hypothesises that these wines are not true to their age. They do taste very primary to me but I still enjoy them so I do buy
To follow this up, I received the 2013 bull trader today.

The bottle marking shows a date of June 16 2022.

This is likely the date it was labelled, but once again I'm not getting anything secondary again.

A much nicer drink than the Vitulis however.

I have it in my cart @ 2 for $32 at local first choice (qld bayside).. not sure I am silly enough to actually buy it though….

Unley no longer there but Taylors website has it for $16.50 a bottle but $15 shipping

Yep Hindmarsh contacted me and said no stock, but I can wait and they'll let me know when it's back in stock in a couple of days.

Will be a nice little boon for Taylor's until people realise it's just another SA Shiraz and sales return to normal within 2 months.

News from Halliday Wine Companion

Now that the 2023 Halliday Wine Companion is out in the wild, we’re announcing some changes to the Tasting Team moving forward. Campbell Mattinson, founding editor of the Halliday magazine and former Wine Companion reviewer, is returning to the fold, replacing Tyson Stelzer as chief editor. And in Erin Larkin’s place come two new tasters: Shanteh Wale, last seen trodding the floor at Sydney’s Quay, and drinks writer Mike Bennie. Meet the new team.

Introducing Kasia Sobiesiak
A new contributor to The Wine Front team! Kasia will be reviewing wines in addition to the existing team, rather than replacing anyone. We are swamped with wine, so she will increase the volume of content, and breadth of wine covered. So, in short, more stuff. She's worked with Mike and myself (GW) over many years now, and we are thrilled to have her on-board. You can read about her here. Welcome Kasia.

The Wine Front Team.

Campbell Mattinson - Mike Bennie - Gary Walsh - Curly Haslam-Coates

So I just got given these, stored in a cellar on their sides. No idea on condition (or if any value). Guessing the wines will be gone, but the Tawnys i'm hoping will be great!
