Woolworths gift card thread

Have not received wow e-gift card close to 24hrs since purchase? Always been less than 3 hrs..... Completed.
Also emailed them to ask why with yahoo address and it bounced back?

Have noticed a sign that says in fine print

Max 5 per customer in Orange

Not many staff know about it. But some do

Had to interact with staff at a self check out this morning, different to how it used to be. Now, when scanning cards, a prompt appears so that staff will need to approve before you proceed to payment stage.

May have been this way for a while but I haven't purchased a perfect card for a few months.

No issues with paying by EGC but just an FYI in case anyone else gets uncertain.

Will post pictures a bit later today.

So the system blocked\held my request and after calling 1300 10 1234...they have cleared it and should receive my egift cards...supposedly my 3 orders were too much for the system and flagged last order even though last order was the smallest???? The other orders came through fine without issue!

Way less than that and even services commented....you have extensive history....very odd....fix that up now.....still told have to wait up to 3hrs...now got tax invoice.....next is the the actual ecards

Mine took ages to load today at counter 5 minutes + but eventually went thru loaded.... I'm told.... Have receipts.
That may have been the reason?
Made another E gift orders small..... So hope to be less than 3hrs delivered!

My wait at the counter was about 60 seconds at 5.45pm for 4 cards. Slightly longer (20 secs) than usual. Didn't think much about it at the time.

Did you do 10? I haven't actually timed it but it does feel like 10 takes longer than 10 x 1 cards. If you get a machine that doesn't require staff intervention then it may be worth your while to do 10 x 1 card instead of 1 x 10 cards because there have been reports you get 2140 woolies pts per card instead of the flat 2000 points bonus per card. I did buy a few today and did do a 1 x 1 card so I will check the receipt in the morning to see if that is true.

Has anyone else noticed that these EFTPOS cards seem to be very popular ? it's been hard to find these cards compared to the ONLY1s during the David Jones giftcards. Given that these EFTPOS cards can't be used for giftception, I would have though there would be much more floating around. I do understand that Woolies does usually have 3-5 hooks of ONLY1s $100 and only 1-2 hooks for EFTPOS but still, I would have thought these cards wouldn't suit the mass majority.

Weird experiences for me.
I checked the day before for stock levels.
Come wed night some stores had exactly the same levels. Some were virtually empty. Every store with low levels always have 5 left. None had none

Ive been lucky to find some stocks ... bagged about 40 today.
Interesting the different points - 2139, 2154,2139,2140,2140,2140 depending on the amount bought ?????

Some recent experiences....

My ISP (TPG) recently starting treating the e-mails with the actual WW e-Gift card as spam. (Since fixed by making an exception rule.)

No $100 Perfect gift cards left at WW Tuggeranong this morning, but WW Kambah had some. Checkout guy said that he had to ask me why I'm buying them, to ensure that I wasn't being scammed. I replied truthfully, "For the points." As we're waiting for the cards to be activated, he asked me if it was some sort of special offer that I'd received. "Um, no, it's in the latest catalogue", as I gesture towards the big orange promo sign on top of the gift card display, about three metres away. o_O

I've never had these cards work before with certain Bendigo Bank terminals, with them always throwing an "Invalid Date" error whenever I'd tried, just on spec...... until today. :)
