Woolworths gift card thread

I wish there would be an offer on Netflix gift cards. I haen't seen one for a couple of years.
Has been at Coles and Woolworths within the last year:

Also could use Reject shop offer to save $5 off $20 if you have it on your AMEX card:

Is this another 10 card limit per transaction dealy @Dr Ralph ?

Seems so.

But beware the points offering is ambiguous. The picture suggests 2000 piints for any denomination card. I suspect it will be proportionate like previous offers, eg 2000 points for $100 card, 1000 points for $50 card.
I agree. The key words are 'receive úp to 2000 points'. My bolding.

A quick tester this morning confirms fewer points for lower denomination cards. 600 points for a $30 GC.

My wife assures me I don't need to buy anything at JB Hifi OR BCF and especially Drummond Golf, so this one will have to slide.

Needed to buy a TV from the Good Guys so I picked up 5 of the $100 Home Cards @ WOW on the way there; an easy 5,000 extra QF points.

Thanks @Dr Ralph

Any hints that you can only use a certain number per transaction at JB?

I have receipts from JB that exceeded 1.5 metres due to copious numbers of GCs. Cashiers have never indicated any limits to me.

I used ~$8700 worth last year at JB and earned quite a few QF points too! Let me just say the receipt took a while to print...

No. I have used more than 50 in a transaction and there are plenty of reports of people using very large numbers.

Good to hear. Back in the day, I enjoyed stacking 5% EGCs with other offers to get great effective discount at JB. I just remember hearing of a limit on number of these cards in one transaction so thought to check - the T&Cs say nothing of the sort. Though I am used to JB requesting ID when doing so.

Reporting back, I now have a receipt that's almost as tall as me. I went straight to service desk at woolworths, they were iffy at first but eventually put through in four $500 bunches. Fortunately found some $100 home gift cards - at first I thought we were going to need to use 40 * $50 cards!

What was frustrating though was that my credit card provider decided to put my card on hold so I couldn't pay for the last $200 or so at JBHifi checkout. An awkward 15 minutes on the phone (after we had already swiped in the 20 gift cards) but fortunately we were able to hold and recommence the checkout transaction and not redo all the gift cards!

Worth it in the end though - $200 worth of woolies pesos to use for something in the future.
