Woolworths gift card thread

Excellent recon @Dr Ralph

I've just returned from a store near me where I was grilled by the cashier followed by the store manager for buying 20 x $100 cards. They made me do purchases in 4 x 5 lots and I had to explain why I was purchasing so many. I'm not sure if they thought I was a scammer, being scammed or just plain odd. I left with the impression that they weren't happy that they couldn't prevent the purchase.
Did you get the full points? The T&Cs suggest a maximum of 10 cards per WWR member (although if you used different accounts that might not be an issue)

I think the tills are programmed to only allow up to $500 at a time

I'm pretty sure they will pay out, given it says per day. Flybuys will cap out at a specified stated maximum but previously WW offers haven't. I have only bought 10 today-may do a tester on number 11

I don't believe that it does. Usually WW promos are capped per day or per transaction, this says per customer which I don't fully understand, but I interpret it as per rewards member I pasted the wrong T&Cs above but I believe these are correct:

Offer available from 2/2/22 to 8/2/22 on all denominations of gift cards pictured, including Visa OnlyONE Spa & Beauty, Dining, Night Out & Webjet Gift Cards in Woolworths supermarkets, Woolworths Metro and Woolworths MetroGo only, while stocks last. Excludes Woolworths Online and Ampol Woolworths Metro. Standard points will not be earned on amount spent on gift cards, but the relevant number of bonus points which you qualify for under this offer. Bonus points can take up to 14 business days to be loaded onto your Everyday Rewards Card from date of purchase. Limit of 10 per customer. Refer to individual cards for their terms and conditions.

We'll see but I think it is to stop people buying the whole rack rather than a points cap

I used two accounts so I'm within the 10 per customer limit. I've only received one email for converting to 5000 QF points though.

Card 11 has paid points based on the receipt
🙏 I'm at 9 and was waiting for a brave soul to report back to save me going to all the trouble for a single card next time

Has anyone attempted to buy one with one?

Unless you can split payment this won't work as the new card costs $105.95.
Which earns 2000 Wow points which is equivalent to $10. So you are making $4.05 per $100 Westfield GC?...seems like a lot of effort 😉

Any update on the merchant coding issue, or successful EFTPOS transactions to report?

If restricted to big shopping malls I’m far less interested.

It was more out of curiosity, I had thought of doing rounds of 5 cards, use those to pay for the next 5 (with a split payment of $29.75), etc.

It wouldn't earn the same number of CC points but would avoid having $1.5k locked up in gift cards. Am I missing another reason to buy 20 cards? (I'm assuming you can't use WISH cards for these... can you..)

For me it's for places that don't accept AMEX whilst earning at AMEX rates, I'm not due for another Visa/MC application for a month or two now. I wouldn't have bought these for $6 a pop but given they're now at an effective $4 discount - I'm buying up

7x points (7 points/$ spent) on Woolworths, Big W, BWS and Dan Murphy gift cards through their gift cards website until Feb 14. Minimum $120 spend. (Can't seem to find any T&C's for the offer though, they may just be putting it online now...)

Edit: T&C's now online. Only applies to one transaction, but can include multiple cards in single transaction. Also available instore.

Be careful is my advice.

We've seen this type of promo before and many reports of points not being credited correctly.

Keep screen shots on this one.

Agree
I can't read the T&Cs-does anyone know if it's a problem stacking with a 5% discount code?

Some things to note:

1) ‘You can redeem your offer once until the end of the offer period’

2) ‘in a single transaction in-store at a participating Woolworths Supermarket and Metros OR online only at giftcards.woolworths.com.au’

3) 'you may not earn points if it would cause you to exceed $4,000 Everyday Rewards dollars and we may restrict your accrual of points if you purchase more than a normal household quantity of Gift Cards.'

Thanks for these - interesting that they'll let you buy multiple cards and let it count in the one transaction. I'd be keeping receipts if you bought them in-store too (first time I've seen them do that).
