Woolworths gift card thread

I tried CTP, and no insurer seems to provide split payments.
RMS doesn't accept split payments.
I haven't tried comprehensive insurance (yet).

RMS (Service NSW shop at Botany) allowed split over 3 cards so used 2xVisa1 plus balance on normal credit card.
AAMI (speaking to person on the phone) allowed split payment over many cards for comprehensive insurance.
Called 4 different CTP but none did split payments.

its a no go for allianz, either over the phone or through their payment portal. they take all or nothing.

I did Allianz last year at PO self serve split payments. They've removed eftpos function from self serve now.

Is it possible to purchase JB HiFi gift cards in-store at Woolworths with Wish eGift cards (from CR)? If so, is there any activation fee? Denominations available?

Thanks!

Yes. This has been the case for a long time with WISH card purchased from any source.

No activation fee.

But check with JBHIFI to see how many gift card they permit in a transaction.

$50 and $100 card are ubiquitous.

Hi Stevier95

Yes you can buy JBHI gift cards ($100 was the highest denomination I have seen) with egift cards from woolworths.

I bought a TV from JBHI like that - from memory just under $1000. The JB staff just said they needed a copy of my drivers licence, I presume for fraud/money laundering purposes just incase. And even better you don't have to scratch off the pin from the back - they just swipe the card through the scanner and deduct amount.

yep details definitely correct. incl. 9999 for the phone number. ive used over 100 of these cards since the woolies promo and checked balances on all of them. 1st one to fail in giving me a balance.

Now I get the following:

[h=4]Invalid Login Criteria. Please check your credentials and try again.[/h]

But was working a few minutes ago. Maybe an intermittent problem?

I've been getting the same error since the weekend. Assuming there is something wrong with the website. Guess the margins in this business (despite their charging 6% of the face value of these cards) aren't sufficient for them to respond to support emails.
I got a message that I'd been locked out for too many tries but was able to spend the card.

little more worried regarding the only1 visa cards as today I had 2 be declined where i believed they should be unused. I didnt have any other full amounts to try.

Has anyone used them in the past day or so?

uh oh..a few days ago I tried to check balance and it failed as well. Thought it was just me, I have a stack of cards I will test later

I also haven't been able to login to check the balances, but I was able to use an unused one yesterday for a $20 payment.
