So can I part pay my ATO bill at the post office using the Perfect Gift Card

I found 10 today but haven't yet put them through the register

i did, in $100 increments at a self serve. works at the counter too but sometimes the dragon kicks up a stink and refuses to accept a prepaid eftpos card.

I bought about 20 yesterday at 5.95

I just though I was seeing things when I saw the rack of them with 6.95

Looks like there’s some changes coming. I’ve just started re stocking my Visa1 supply ahead of quarterly BAS. Am buying $2k worth eGCs at a time so I don’t get stuck with too many should they change the systems everywhere suddenly. There’s only so much I need to spend at WOW for regular spend.

No problems at all.

I assume you have the activation receipts for each of your purchases? They do say that activation can take up to 24 hours. If you have a problem after that time I'd be taking them back to the store.

The self serves near me allow 4, BUT must be approved by an attendant at the end. Without their approval you cannot pay, and hence no cards can be activated.

So there is now no way for me to purchase Gift Cards without a staff member knowing and approving.

All staff have so far not been at all phased or concerned.


I have sometimes see the no gift cards signs at self serves at some stores. This tends to be at stores where the self serves are very busy and so is probably done to assist in avoiding logjams.

I ignored it and bought just a few.

Starting October 11, buy a MYER gift card and get a bonus loaded onto the card.

EG: Buy a $50 gift card get $5 bonus
Buy a $100 gift card get $10 bonus
Buy a $200 gift card get $20 bonus

Limit 10 per customer.

No I just go for the standard versions. By the way Cove is a building in Los Angeles that was used in some sci-fi movie. With special effects I think the building got destroyed.

Yet they have iTunes gift cards on display right next to the self-serve terminal where you *can't* buy them?

A local store that I found quite a few of them is funny.


They're all trying to be helpful and kind. By saying that the self serve checkouts do work but due to the new system some cards are not loading properly so come and do it at the service desk.


I've gotten to the service desk and processed on 3 separate occasions it's taken 10 to 20mins because they keep on either rescanning the same card twice. Or scanning the first set correctly and then mixing it with the second set by accident.

This is followed by both myself and the staff member matching bsrcode and recipets like a card game

I ask myself this everytime there is a Myers promo
But is there a way to use these cards for generic visa cards or eftpos cards or to get screaming bargain for those that may not have a need to shop at Myer?

16k in tax paid, 8k in DJ vouchers to pay for some furniture, 40 10 dollar rebel vouchers now to spend - tough work staying on top of and completing all these transactions.

Not sure I will do it again

Nick I just used 3 CCs to pay a lot of ATO to get points and miles and it took less than 15 minutes to load and pay.
