Woolworths gift card thread

Starting 28/2/2018:

Buy a $30 Hoyts gift card or a $30 Cotton On gift card get 600 bonus points.

Buy a $50 Hoyts gift card or a $50 L'Occitane gift card get 1000 bonus points.

Buy a $100 Webjet gift card or a $100 ticketmaster gift card and get 2000 bonus points.

Does not appear to be a limit on these.

Mmmm no export to cover up the 5% discount wow lost on purchasing other cards...... Possibly?

Just bought my latest round of theperfectgift cards from Woolworths and noticed that these now have an expiry date of 3 years up from the previous 1 year which is still actually listed on the back of the cards.

I bought theperfectgiftcard today with eWISH cards, so can't see why another third party gift card like you want would not work.

Only1s and Westfield fine for me this week too (both at manned checkouts)
What's the attraction of the Westfield ones? Is it that they aren't locked to Westfield stores and have a lower fee than the perfectgiftcards?

There are many stores that have branches in Westfield. You can usually use them in stores not physically in Westfield if one of their branches is (eg I used one in a high-street Oporto today). As you say they are $1 cheaper than a new edition perfect. And they are frequently available when perfects are out of stock

There is no difference between the two types of Westfield cards in terms of their acceptance. Just buy the cheaper one.

Must say I've never checked a Westfield Red at a small independent store to find out. I'm more than happy to be wrong in my assumption above

I have used a Westfield Red at a multiple of places; cafes, shops, little grocery stores, my doctors, my chiro, etc. None have been in Westfield centres but it has always been accepted.

I have done similar when I had a large number of these Westfield Red cards as a result of the AMEX promo in December 2016. Looks like nothing has changed with the way that they are encoded.

I just got a msg on my woolworths app,

Wish gift cards no longer have an expiry

I thought they changed it from 1 year to 2 years recently

i also contacted black hawk and asked why they raised their fee, and told them that a lot of people will stop buying them, and their sales would go back up if they reduced it back down,

but they said its not going to change,

oh well, surely if people stopped buying them theyd rather have some sale rather than no sales
