Woolworths gift card thread

There were plenty (at least 50) of Visa one $100 cards at Rangers Road in Neutral Bay Village whereas the Grosvenor Street store across the road only had $50 ones.

I just tried using a visa card at a small business where I usually use the eftpos gift card to pay (around $300 in total) and they are charging 2.5% for visa where as eftpos was free. That is a bit excessive isn't it? With law that passed in September, how do I know if they are charging what they are allowed to?

One of my local stores only had 11 left when I got there this afternoon, the other had about 25.

BTW: Be aware of this from the T&Cs:

A maximum of five gift cards or eGift cards can be used to shop in one transaction online.

Managed to get 40 x Visa Only cards today. Just about to try and register them for the DJ's egiftcards. Anyone done this already? If so any issues?

Yes, purchased 10 cards today and tried to register them this evening. Managed the first 9 OK but the 10th was rejected saying that I had exceeded my IP address limit.

I did make a typo on one of the numbers so it seems that if you make a mistake on entering the 30 digit number you have blown one of your bonus vouchers.

I have emailed them and received a standard reply that they will repond within 72 hours.

I purchased 10 today. Registered 1 for DJ card without any problem at 11.30am.
Planning to do the rest this evening. Will post if there are any problems.

Thanks. Looks like they are using the IP address method again to enforce the 10 cards limit. Fairly easy to get around.

Bought 30

Will try claiming shortly

edit: trying to get to 100
am assuming that as long as you make a claim by 14/04, you dont have to do it straight away
ie its not limited to the first 10,000 or whatever

Looks like the egiftcard does not come with a bar code unlike the Rebel ones. This will mean it will take a lot longer at the cash register in store.

Good to see that these egiftcards are valid for 3 years.

ive redeemed all mine, I save the file as a pdf just in case the email doesnt get lost,

can you buy dj gift cards online with these? eg turn 5 x $10 into $50 ones

Tip for those who purchased the gift cards today. Download the app “power scanner” on your phone and scan the barcode on the back of the card - it immediately pulls the 30 digits from the card and allows you to copy/paste straight into the redemption form.
