Woolworths gift card thread

If its 1070 points on Perfect GC, 1060 points on Only1, still worthwhile considering have about almost 5 figures to pay Canberra online store
Given there is no bonus offer for theperfectgiftcard I can't see how you'd get '1070 points on Perfect GC'

I'm calculating it based on Only1 getting 1060 points from the card costing $105.95.

Yes. This is because of the current 1000 point bonus offer + the 10 x offer if you spend $150 or more.

Given there is no 1000 point bonus offer on theperfectgiftcard at present, I would expect that you would only earn 70 points on a $100 theperfectgiftcard. Happy for someone to indicate that I'm wrong on this. As I've already indicated I cannot confirm points for this card at present.

If I remember correctly Coles had these Event cards at a 15 or 20% off face value discount recently. Plus you can use gift cards to buy these at Coles.

Maybe I'm understanding things wrongly. I'm calculating it based on Only1 getting 1060 points from the card costing $105.95.

You are correct. I bought one VISA1 and get 1060 pts. If the bonus pts were from Christmas bonus, it should fall into 5X pts, not 10X pts.

Previously when the offer was 2000 pts per card, you actually got 2120 pts.

whats the current processing times of these only1s at manned checkouts, is it still 2mins per card give or take?

Just wanted to confirm that you can still get 1060 points per card today on the $105.95 cards. I've bought 45 today. Just a shame I'm not the local champ.

every store ive been to has had tons of them !

My card is virtually maxed out now

How much money do you need to do this cycle? How are you getting the money back on the gift cards or are you selling them?

I tend to use them for day to day visa purchases then clear out balance to health fund online

FYI (and I am generalising here) the main reason most people use this strategy on these types of promos is to earn 3/4 Amex MR points/$ instead of the 0.5/1.0 FF point gained from paying another bill/expense where that business does not accept Amex Directly (or has a punitive surcharge for the use of Amex.

The bonus WOW points offsets the cost of the VISA1 card fee. with some past deals the WOW points (or discount) gain was more than the card fee allowing an instant profit.

The 50% Amex transfer devaluation in April 2019 will make this less lucrative.

It is also worth noting that having to break up spend in $100 amounts (including any CC surcharge) can make this time consuming, though use of robots can less this.

So the strategy is more valuable to those who vale their time less, or/and who cannot add to their income in other ways (ie in my particular case I can easily increase my income by spending more time 24/7 running my business and so I always weigh up time spent on a promo vs revenue that I could have gained by simply just working in my business more). For those on fixed incomes (ie you, wage eraners etc) promos like these can be say considered as an extra casual income.
