Are you referring to Apple Cash ?

I noted in a number of stores the Mastercards variable load were not in stock in the gift cards area, but if you turned around and looked at the nearby registers one would normally find a pile towards the bottom of a display of gift cards at that register, which must be on the stores planogram and missed by the masses.

Ive only seen $50's & $100's but none of the loadable cards and been to 5 different stores

All you can do with an Apple gift card is load it to one's Apple account to be used for Apple purchases.

Apple gift cards can't be liquidated.
Correct. Apple gift cards can only be used for Apple stores. So iTunes, App Store, paying for an Apple subscription or buying something directly from Apple either at their physical store or online via their webshop. Which can be useful if you are thinking of buying a new iPhone or Mac since you can get many thousands of Qantas points buying these gift cards and then using the gift card to buy what you need from apple

That being said I was pleasantly surprised that mid-way through last weeks gift card promo the cards were well restocked in a few stores

Managed to get my last 8 x $500 cards on the Tuesday.

Will be maxing out 8 x $500 cards again for this promo, still have some ATO debt and land tax to pay and some old council rates for a property (surprisingly no 10% interest being charged, despite being years overdue)

I always find that there is never any cards at my woolies

The one near me, in a large shopping centre, rarely/never has any of the higher value cards, and that's been the case for years.

The rest usually have a small section for the variable loads, yet friends in the South East of Melbourne, have literally hundreds of the cards..

Not sure if it's fraud prevention, bad management, bad stocktaking but it's annoying

I end up dedicated about 1 hour a day, so close to 8 hours in total during the week for the cards. For 140,000 QFF it's worth it though..

Any idea which suburb in the SE? also wouldn't 8 x $500 cards only get you 20,000 QFF? (10x EDR points) unless your doing 8 cards daily?

I'm, Melb SE burbs so will take a look around over weekend & report back.

will grab couple of the variable cards if come across them behind the toothpaste section, but don't hold much hope.
