Just racked up another 20 000 Flybuy points =$100 Coles dollars that I will use against my weekend shop tomorrow which will have a net cost of about $20. This is about the fifth time in the last year and a half that this has happened. Many of the points earned are bonus points and we only buy what we need. See ya, Woolies!

Matt that's three visits to many :)

I know... I initially thought I would keep shopping there until the end of the year (while points can still be earned) but as the targeted offers seem to have dried up I may just stop now.

My new Flybuys card arrived in the mail yesterday, as did my Woolworths so-called Rewards card. The Flybuys card now sits comfortably in my wallet. The Woolies card will not be joining it there.

I must have missed something in the initial release, but Cellarmasters will no longer earn QFF after Dec 31 as well.

Letter from Cellarmasters sent today, said they were going to create some special bonus offers.

Mmmm, I got a $50 voucher and $30 credit. Might have to pull the trigger if their is a good offer.

I would (safely) assume that all QFF earning opportunities within the Woolies group are gone after 31st Dec since QFF was linked to EDR and EDR is now Woolworths Rupiah.

No vouchers for me but two offers with 1000/500 QFF points.

So I can pay $5.39 and earn $1.99 wollies bucks, or head to Coles where its already $3.xx.....

From memory woolies were matching the $3.40 price on a fairly consistent basis.

It is stunts like this that create the cynicism towards the new program.

For a while it was an "everyday low price of $3.40" then mysteriously went back up to full price. Coles has kept it lower.

There's no everyday low prices anymore. Only low prices always.

Even language is being enhanced

Provided the catalogue is correct, there is a microwave popcorn product this week which has a certain amount of Woolworths dollars on it. It's a really good deal provided that you love microwave popcorn and have a good use for it. See page 9 of the catalogue that started today for details.

28c for popcorn!

Looks like their proofreading department needs help.

The catalogue states $1 for popcorn, earning 72c WWR (Woolworths Rupiah thanks Mr_Orange:))
The shelf ticket states $1 save 72c earn 25c WWR.

I wonder what my chances would be to recoup the difference if I bought some?

Exactly, how dumb do they think we are?!?!?!

Anyway I never had any real loyalty to any one supermarket. We have made a decision to never buy anything at full price anymore, buy things only on sale and we always compare :) We live within an easy 10 minute walk to 2 x Woolworths, a Coles, and an Aldi - so we are not short on choices.

False advertising, I'd want the WWR stated in the catalogue... bait and switch.

I wondered whether it was going to be a case of false advertising or price error. If I bought the product, I'd dispute it with Woolworths rewards and hopefully they would credit the extra amount to make up for their mistake.

The point is moot though, as I am not going to buy 14 packets to get my $10+.

I can't say that I'm mad for popcorn, but given the activity on AFF, people might think it wise to stock up :)

My solution was to get the Cuisinart popcorn maker from the QFF store then buy the basic popping corn. Approx 15,000 points plus $1 for the corn.
