Can someone tell me what Friday's word was please - that's 1077

CHAOS @VPS
(I got it in three)
That's the first time I've actually forgotten to do it - normally do it in bed in the morning but had to get up early for a visitor and it threw me out for the day. Not hugely important for my run because I've bombed out a couple of times in the last 6 weeks - just wanted to check it wasn't my starter word

There's always the ol' timezone change trick, unless you've left it really late.

After much analysis, the starter word that I settled on and changed to about nine months ago came up about a month ago, but I'm staying with it. Over that time, my average has been 3.3 (hard mode). Current and max streak is 405.

I took out a NYT games subscription a few weeks ago, and it's been interesting looking at the available historical data. I noticed that on the day my starting word came up, it jumped from being a relatively rare starting word to being quite popular, then dropped again. I can only conclude that there are a lot of self-delusional cheats out there.
